Blackhawk Patrick Sharp is scheduled to be in Orland Park on Saturday from 1:30 p.m. to 4 p.m. for a charity benefit at Joe Rizza Ford Lincoln Kia Porsche.
The hockey star will be signing souvenir hockey pucks for the first 150 fans who bring an unwrapped toy to benefit Advocate Children’s Hospital.
Additional fans may receive an autographed puck as time permits.
Santa Claus also will be on hand at the event at 8100 W. 159th St., Orland Park. There also will be hot dogs, popcorn and candy.
“We look forward to an exciting fan event that will be a highlight of the holiday season,” Joe Rizza CFO Dan McMillan said in a press release.
“We encourage Blackhawk fans of all ages to come out and join us for a Patrick Sharp autograph, a visit with Santa and a chance to win an autographed Patrick Sharp hockey sweater,” he said.

ACA seminars scheduled
Two seminars on the Affordable Care Act, will be presented by the Will County Health Department and county board members Steve Balich and Mike Fricilone.
The first session will be from 10:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Jan. 11 at the Homer Township Library 14320 W. 151st St. Homer Glen. Individual concerns will be addressed by appointment Jan. 25.
A second program will be from 10:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Jan. 18 at the Lockport Public Library, 121 E. State, Lockport, with individual appointments on Feb. 1.

Toy drive at Masonic lodge
The Micah Lodge No. 4 A.F. & A.M., 1528 E. 13th Place, Ford Heights, is giving toys to underprivileged children in the Ford Heights community during the school day on Thursday, according to a press release. The lodge also is giving a free Christmas dinner for the elderly and underprivileged on Saturday from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. at Tyde A. Phillips Elementary School, 1401 E. 13th Place.
