Part of state office building evacuated in Chicago

Illinois State Police say nothing was found after part of a state office building was evacuated due to a suspicious package.
The concourse of the Thompson Center in downtown Chicago was evacuated Friday afternoon. Illinois State Police and Chicago Police Department officials said both agencies responded.
Illinois State Police spokeswoman Monique Bond sadi there was a report of an unattended suitcase left in the concourse.
She said investigators later found nothing and the unattended bag wasn’t threatening.
The state police canine unit responded along with Chicago Police Department’s bomb and arson officers.
The building houses offices for state agencies, including Gov. Pat Quinn.
