Homewood girl taken from her home, found unharmed in Flossmoor

Homewood police say a young girl was found unharmed early Saturday morning outside a home in nearby Flossmoor.
An electronic alert signed by Homewood police Chief Lawrence C. Burnson was sent out notifying the public about the incident Saturday evening.
According to the release, the girl was grade school age and found not injured. She had been taken from her home by a man who came in through an unlocked door, taken to one residence in Flossmoor and then dropped off at a second, the release said.
She rang the doorbell at the second house and the homeowner called police.
The girl lives south of 183rd St., between Riegel Road and Center Avenue.
