Bail was set Friday at $750,000 for a Burnham man charged with shooting a teenage girl in the head on Wednesday in Chicago, leaving her seriously injured.
Jarrell Guerin, 22, of the 14000 block of South Saginaw Avenue, faces two felony counts each of aggravated battery with a firearm and unlawful use of a weapon.
The shooting happened about 3:25 p.m. Wednesday in the 6400 block of South Stony Island Avenue, according to police. Guerin and the 17-year-old girl got into an argument and he pulled out a handgun and fired a shot that grazed her head, police said. The girl was taken to Northwestern Memorial Hospital in serious condition.
Guerin is next due in court Feb. 5.
