Funeral services for the victims of the Feb. 2 triple homicide in Robbins are set for Friday, according to Community High School District 218.
Michelle Ollie, 42, and two of her children, Steven Roe, 17, and Trisdion Worsham, 15, were shot to death at home by Ollie’s husband, Michael Worsham, 43, who was found dead after police forced their way into the house in the 13600 block of Pulaski Road, police said. The cause of his death is pending toxicology tests, according to the Cook County medical examiner’s office.
Services for Ollie and the two teens will be at 10 a.m. Friday at Holy Temple Evangelistic Church, 15912 Lincoln Ave., Harvey. Burial will be at Mount Hope Cemetery, 11500 S. Fairfield Ave., Chicago, the school district said in a news release.
Donations to help pay for the services are being collected by Shepard High School in Palos Heights, where Roe and Trisdion Worsham were students and where their 14-year-old half-brother, who survived the shootings, is enrolled.
“Our hearts go out to the Roe and Worsham families. Now we’re just trying to do everything possible for them financially and spiritually,” Shepard Principal Josh Barron said.
The public can mail checks payable to Shepard High School to Nancy McGuire, Shepard High School, 13049 Ridgeland Ave., Palos Heights, IL 60463. Checks or cash donations also can be dropped at the front desk in the main office of the school.
The 14-year-old was able to escape from the house with his 5-year-old nephew after the teen struggled with Worsham over a revolver that was used to shoot Ollie and Roe, according to police. They said the boy awoke late Sunday night to a loud pop and found Roe dead on the kitchen floor Worsham standing over the body.
The boy ran upstairs to his mother’s room, where she was asleep with the younger boy, and Worsham followed, dragging Ollie from the bed and shooting her, police said. They said he then shot and killed his daughter as she tried to flee with the two boys.
