One of Currie Motors’ “Nice people to do business with” is toughing it out to sell a truck to Jimmy Fallon.

Tinley Park resident Pete Porzio is one of 10 Ford salespeople appearing on “The Tonight Show” as part of host Fallon’s “Fingers on a 4X4” competition, which starts Monday.

Contestants will be required to keep their hands on a Ford F-150 King Ranch, which Fallon says he wants to buy, for as long as possible. The truck is parked on the deck of the USS Intrepid in New York, and the last one standing wins the sale.

“I wanted to make a fun event out of buying it and I think people will enjoy watching this contest,” Fallon said in a statement. “Who knows? This could be how people buy trucks from now on.”

Porzio was picked for the contest because of his record as one of the top salespeople in the U.S. Despite his successes at the Frankfort dealership, Porzio says he’s nervous about making it through the competition.

“I am with a great group of people from across the country and we’re all getting pumped up and ready,” he said Monday from New York.

Each night this week Fallon will update viewers about the “Fingers on a 4X4” contest. “The Tonight Show” starts at 10:35pm on NBC.
