Community Consolidated School District 146 has launched a strategic planning process that will determine the future direction of the Tinley Park-based district.
Gathering input for the plan, expected to be finalized by early fall, will include discussions and meetings with faculty and administrators as well as students and parents, the district said in a news release.
The district said the information gathering process would continue through June 10 and also include surveys and focus groups. The district said it will provide more details about how that process will work.
The research will be used to develop goals and objectives for the district, which will be presented to the school board and made available to the public, the district said.
It said it’s working with Rosemont-based ECRA Group to conduct the planning process.
“This process is very different than most schools undertake in that it is research-based, which means decisions will be based on data instead of intuition,” District 146 Supt. Jeff Stawick said in the release.
