A man and woman from Ford Heights, believed to have been selling heroin in New Lenox, were arrested Tuesday by New Lenox police and the Cook County sheriff’s police Gang Unit, police said.
Loren Daniels, 26, 1125 Seeley Ave., was charged with possession and sale of heroin, and McClain Davis, 29, of the same address, was charged with conspiracy to possess and sell heroin, according to New Lenox Deputy Police Chief Robert Pawlisz.
He said both were being held at the Will County Jail, and additional charges were pending a review by the Cook County state’s attorney’s office.
After a monthlong investigation, New Lenox police and the sheriff’s Gang Unit executed a search warrant Tuesday at the Ford Heights home and found evidence of a heroin sales business, Pawlisz said.
He said police seized more than 100 sealed capsules containing heroin, a small amount of marijuana, various drug equipment and a loaded Glock handgun that had been reported stolen in a burglary in Georgia.
