Authorities are searching for a 14-year-old girl who was last seen at her Calumet City home.
Alliyah Johnson was last seen by her mother, Nikita Jobe, on Friday morning, Jobe said.
“She has a curfew at 6:30. She might be late (at times), but this time, she didn’t come back,” Jobe said.
Jobe said Alliyah has been diagnosed with post-traumatic stress disorder but declined to say what led to the diagnosis.
Jobe said her daughter has a history of running away but that she is afraid her daughter is in trouble this time. About 5 a.m. Wednesday, Jobe said, her daughter called her grandmother’s house phone from a number with a 773 area code. The grandmother heard Alliyah screaming and a man’s voice yelling, according to Jobe. She said police traced the cellphone call to the area of the 1200 block of East 46th Street in Chicago.
Calumet City Police declined to comment.
Alliyah is described as black, 5-foot-3 and weighing 120 pounds, with black hair and brown eyes. She was last seen wearing a green blouse and beige shorts, with her hair in a pony tail.
Anyone with information regarding Alliyah’s whereabouts is asked to call the hot line the family has set up at (800) 883-5587.
