A 19-year-old man was hurt early Monday in what police believe was a gang-related, drive-by shooting in Burbank, officials said.
About 2:15 a.m., the Burbank man was walking near 80th Place and Melvina Avenue when a newer model, white, four-door car with tinted windows drove by, Burbank police said in a statement.
A rear-seat passenger in the car fired shots before the vehicle sped off southbound on Melvina, police said. The vehicle was not found during a search of the area.
The man was treated for a gunshot wound to his left leg at Advocate Christ Medical Center in Oak Lawn, and later released, police said. No one else was injured.
