Two men were taken into custody after an armed home invasion Wednesday night in Oak Lawn, but a third suspect is still on the loose.
About 11:30 p.m., three armed men robbed a home in the 9200 block of South Central Avenue, according to a statement from Oak Lawn police.
Two victims were struck by the suspects, but no one was shot, police said. Both victims suffered minor injuries.
After the robbery, one of the victims followed the suspects in a vehicle while communicating with police dispatchers, police said.
Burbank police saw the vehicle and pulled it over, but the suspects ran off. Two of them were taken into custody, but a third got away, according to the statement.
Police — including a canine unit and helicopter — searched for the third suspect for about 90 minutes, but he was not in custody as of early Thursday afternoon.
“This residence was targeted by the offenders and not a random act,” police said. The investigation is ongoing, they said.
