One person was shot and suffered minor injuries and another was taken into custody Sunday night after an incident following a soccer game in a forest preserve near Oak Forest, police said.
The shooting happened about 5:15 p.m. after a soccer game at the Bachelor Grove Woods forest preserve at 147th Street and Ridgeland Avenue, Cook County Sheriff’s spokeswoman Sophia Ansari said.
The person who was shot suffered graze wounds that were not life-threatening, Ansari said.
Police took one person into custody.
Neither the gender nor age of either person was available Sunday night.
