An 18-year-old has been charged with first-degree murder after investigators identified him as the shooter in a 2009 cold case murder on the South Side.

Bail was denied Friday for Terrance Tucker, of the 2400 block of Lithuanian Plaza Court, who was charged with one count of first-degree murder in connection with the fatal shooting of Gregory Tuck on Dec. 20, 2009, authorities said.

The two were arguing in the 6800 block of South Artesian Avenue when Tucker pulled out a handgun and fatally wounded Tuck, police said.

Tuck, 22, of 6732 S. Artesian Ave., was pronounced dead at Christ Medical Center in Oak Lawn, according to the Cook County Medical Examiner’s office.

The Chicago Police Department’s Cold Case Unit recently revisited the case and charged Tucker after gathering leads that allegedly pointed to his involvement in the shooting, police said. He was arrested Wednesday after he was identified as the shooter, police said.
