Child, mom hospitalized after car, bus crash

A mother and young child were taken to a hospital Monday morning after a car collided with a Pace bus in Orland Park.
The car rear-ended the bus at the intersection of 159th Street and 91st Avenue. The bus driver was not ticketed by police, said Patrick Wilmot, a Pace spokesman.
None of the 10 passengers on the bus was injured.
According to Pace reports, the child was not strapped into a car seat, although one was present in the car. No information was available from Orland Park police.
The driver of the car and child were taken to Christ Hospital in Oak Lawn, Orland Fire Protection District acting Chief Raymond Kay said.
The crash delayed Pace Route 364.
