No one was injured but a Country Club Hills family’s home was left uninhabitable Friday after it sustained extensive damage in a fire, officials said.

It took firefighters 90 minutes to extinguish the blaze at the single-family frame house in the 17500 block of Eastgate Drive, Country Club Hills Fire Chief Joe Ellington said.

The fire was reported at 12:15 p.m. The family was home, and escaped without harm, Ellington said.

Siding on the house next door received some heat damage, Ellington said. The fire’s cause has not been determined, Ellington said.
