A village resident faces child endangerment charges after her 3-year-old son was found wandering Dec. 30 in the parking lot of her apartment complex, police said.
They said a neighbor found the child and contacted police. As officers searched for the child’s parents, Katrina M. Wiley, 39, 3417 Kings Road, Apt. 315, came out of her apartment looking for the child, according to police.
Officers said they smelled alcohol on Wiley’s breath, her speech was slurred and she had difficulty answering questions, so she was arrested, police said.
They said officers found a water bottle filled with liquor and a can of beer in the boy’s diaper bag, and a straw containing cocaine residue was found in Wiley’s pocket.
