Eight Crete-Monee District 201U students were transported with minor injuries after two school buses collided Wednesday afternoon.
One bus rear-ended another at 1983 Exchange in Crete about 2:45 p.m., according to Steger Estates Fire Protection District Assistant Chief Randy Manns.
All of the injuries were minor, Manns said, and students were expected to be treated and released.
The buses were carrying a total of about 75 students, he said.
