PARK FOREST

BROKEN DOOR: A rear door was broken down Jan. 14 at a house in the 300 block of Indianwood Boulevard.

BATTERY: Mahtinah Balanton, 20, 1939 Concord Drive, Chicago Heights, was charged with battery after a Jan. 14 incident in the 100 block of Algonquin Street, police said.

SUV THEFT: A 2011 Kia Sorento that was left warming up was stolen Jan. 15 from a driveway in the 400 block of Wildwood Drive.

BURGLARY: Two boys, 16 and 15, both of Park Forest, were charged with burglary after they stole a snowblower from a garage and broke a window of a house in the 200 block of Arrowhead Street, where they were found by police on Jan. 15, police said.

DISORDERLY CONDUCT: Donald R. Laird, 51, 121 Fir St., Apt. A, was charged with disorderly conduct after harassing a neighbor Jan. 16 near his home, police said.

HOME BURGLARY: A television was stolen Jan. 16 from a house in the 300 block of Manitowac Street.

TRESPASSING: Mark A. Andrews, 22, 321 Springfield St., Park Forest, was charged with trespassing and violating an order of protection Jan. 17 in the 200 block of Berry Street, police said.

CAR THEFT: A 2003 Buick Park Avenue was stolen Jan. 19 from a lot in the 100 block of Lester Road.

ROBBERY: A Park Forest teen was robbed of her iPod Jan. 19 by four teen boys, one of whom had a gun, in the 200 block of Washington Street.

DOMESTIC BATTERY: Darryl Staples, 44, 207 Gold St., Park Forest, was charged with domestic battery after a Jan. 20 altercation at his home, police said.

DAMAGED DOOR: A door was broken Jan. 20 at a house in the 200 block of Allegheny Street.

HOME BURGLARY: A television and jewelry were stolen Jan. 23 from a house in the first block of Wilson Court.

WARRANT ARRESTS: Johnny L. Carter, 30, 1151 Williamsburg Road, Country Club Hills, was charged with driving on a suspended license, running a stop sign and obstructing justice and was arrested on three Cook County warrants after a Jan. 24 stop at Lakewood Boulevard and Wildwood Drive, police said. They said Richard R. Williams, of the same address, was charged with possession of marijuana and obstructing justice and was arrested on Cook County, Chicago Heights and Peoria warrants.

HOME BURGLARY: A television and jewelry were stolen Jan. 24 from a house in the 300 block of Niagara Street.

DOMESTIC BATTERY: Iyeshia Crowder, 23, 2 Ash St., Park Forest, was charged with domestic battery after a disturbance Jan. 25 at her residence, police said.

THEFT: Solar lawn lights were stolen Jan. 25 from a yard in the first block of Rich Court.

THEFT: A chain-link fence was cut and catalytic converters were stolen Jan. 26 from 17 trucks at U-Haul Rental, 2210 Western Ave.

DOMESTIC BATTERY: Scott D. David, 21, 119 Well St., Park Forest, was charged with domestic battery after a Jan. 26 incident at his home, police said.

RICHTON PARK

SUSPENDED LICENSE: Malcolm D. Brown, 20, 731 Union Drive, University Park, was charged with driving on a suspended license and on suspended registration and no rear license plate light after a Jan. 22 stop at Cicero Avenue and Lake Shore Drive, police said.

SLASHED TIRES: Tires on a vehicle were slashed Jan. 22 or 23 in the 4400 block of Balmoral Drive.

SUSPENDED LICENSE: Kelvin Jackson, 44, 16551 Paulina Ave., Markham, was charged with driving on a suspended license, no insurance, not wearing a seat belt after a Jan. 23 stop at Latonia Lane and Saratoga Drive, police said.

PUBLIC INTOXICATION: John D. Williams, 43, 320 Ashland Ave., Chicago Heights, was charged with public intoxication Jan. 23 in the 3700 block of Sauk Trail, police said.

DOMESTIC BATTERY: Malachi Napier, 18, 39 Timber Lane, Matteson, was charged with domestic battery and battery after a Jan. 23 incident in the 22500 block of Brian Court, police said.

HOME BURGLARY: Copper pipes were discovered stolen Jan. 24 from a house in the 3000 block of St. Ives Lane.

BREAK-IN: A front door was forced open Jan. 25 at a house in the 23000 block of Lake Shore Drive.

BURGLARY: Brandon Alexander, 27, 759 Burr Oak Ave., Apt. 3H, University Park, and William R. Jones, 31, 4549 Windsor Court, Richton Park, were charged with theft after stealing electronic items Jan. 25 from Jones’ home, police said. They said Alexander also was charged with public intoxication after he was seen stumbling earlier that day in the 22100 block of Churchill Drive,

BREAK-IN: A rear door was found forced open Jan. 26 at a house in the 22500 block of Lawndale Avenue.

HOME BURGLARY: A television, jewelry, shoes and clothing were stolen Jan. 26 from a townhouse in the 2000 block of Richton Place.
