Richton Park woman robbed near home

A 71-year-old Richton Park resident was pushed down and robbed of her backpack and purse Jan. 31 near her home in the 5000 block of Brighton Lane, police said.
They said the woman was approached by two teenagers, who asked about a Metra train schedule and then asked to use a phone inside the victim’s house.
Before the victim could reply, the youths suddenly pushed her down, stole her items and then ran away, according to police.
