A gunman shot and wounded two men, one critically, outside a Markham nightclub early Monday and fled the scene, police said.
A fight inside The Zone nightclub, 2024 W. 163rd St., led to those involved being removed about 1 a.m., and a man who was involved went to a vehicle, got a handgun and opened fire, authorities said.
They said one of the men was shot in the chest and was taken in critical condition to Christ Medical Center in Oak Lawn, while the other was shot in the arm and went to Ingalls Memorial Hospital in Harvey. Police said both were in their late teens or early 20s.
Police were searching Monday for the shooter and did not have a description available.
A message left with the club was not returned Monday.
