Alsip man found shot to death in Marquette Park

The body of a man who was fatally shot was discovered Sunday night in Chicago’s Marquette Park neighborhood.
The man’s body was found in weeds behind a small apartment building in the 7900 block of South Troy Street, police said, adding that they believe the man was shot Saturday.
The man had multiple gunshot wounds to the body, police said. His body was found about 8:20 p.m. on Sunday.
He was identified as 25-year-old Joseph Owens, of the 3800 block of West 123rd Street in Alsip, according to the Cook County medical examiner’s office.
No one was in custody Monday morning for the shooting, which is being investigated by Area Central detectives.
