Oak Lawn police blotter

OAK LAWN

SUSPENDED LICENSE: Alfredo Juarez, 21, of Chicago, was charged with driving on a suspended license and failure to reduce speed to avoid an accident May 18 after a stop at 96th Street and West Shore Drive, police said.

POT POSSESSION: Jeffery P. Fox, 29, 10221 Central Ave., Oak Lawn, was charged with possession of marijuana after a stop May 20 at 103rd Street and Komensky Avenue, police said.

BURGLARY: A lawn mower and a bicycle were stolen May 20 or 21 from a storage shed in the 5700 block of 102nd Street.

LICENSE SUSPENDED: Jason A. Coates, 29, 5753 W. Circle Drive, Oak Lawn, was charged with driving on a suspended license, disobeying a traffic signal and failure to yield after a May 21 stop at 95th Street and McVicker Avenue, police said.

POT POSSESSION: Mario Dakic, 22, 9060 W. Windsor Drive, Palos Hills, was charged with possession of marijuana, driving without a valid license and no insurance after he was stopped May 21 at 102nd Street and Central Avenue, police said.

LICENSE SUSPENDED: Renee L. Terrett, 42, of Chicago, was charged with driving on a suspended license and no insurance after being stopped May 21 at 95th Street and Merrimac Avenue, police said.

MARIJUANA CHARGE: Tony Chapa Sr., 40, 9835 Merton Ave., Oak Lawn, was charged with possession of marijuana after a May 22 stop at Cicero Avenue and Oak Center Drive, police said.

RETAIL THEFT: Fatima Abumaizer, 52, 6037 W. Marshall Ave., Chicago Ridge, was charged with retail theft after she stole merchandise May 22 from Freshline Foods, 5355 W. 95th St., police said.

THEFT: Three downspouts were stolen May 22 or 23 from the Oak Lawn Metra station, 5120 W. Museum Drive.

HOME BURGLARY: Jewelry valued at $30,000 and a handgun were stolen May 22 or 23 from a house in the 10400 block of LaPorte Avenue.

RETAIL THEFT: Gary Johns, 24, 9706 Cicero Ave., Oak Lawn, was charged with retail theft and possession of hypodermic syringes and needles May 23 after he stole merchandise from Kmart, 4101 W. 95th St., police said.

STOLEN SPARES: Spare tires were stolen May 24 from two pickup trucks and a sport utility vehicle in the 10900 block of Cicero Avenue.

CAR BURGLARY: A GPS system and a Bluetooth connector were stolen May 24 from a car parked in the 4100 block of Stilwell Place.

CAR BURGLARY: A GPS system, a DVD player and Bluetooth speaker were stolen May 24 from a car in the 10700 block of Pulaski Road.

LICENSE SUSPENDED: Leron T. Nelson, 37, of Chicago, was charged with driving on a suspended license and suspended registration May 25 after a stop at 87th Street and Cicero Avenue, police said.

SUSPENDED LICENSE: Kenneth Geary, 35, of Chicago, was charged with driving on a suspended license after he was stopped May 25 at Cicero Avenue and Oak Center Drive, police said.
