CHICAGO HEIGHTS

GARAGE BURGLARY: An all-terrain vehicle was stolen May 31 or June 1 from a garage in the 1200 block of Washington Street.

STOLEN COPPER: Copper pipes were reported stolen June 1 from a house in the 1400 block of Center Avenue.

NO LICENSE: C.W. Triplett, 57, 1899 Boston St., Chicago Heights, was charged with driving on a revoked license, no insurance and making an improper turn after a stop June 1 at Concord Drive and Division Street, police said.

DOMESTIC ASSAULT: Jeffrey D. Smith, 34, of Chicago, was charged with domestic assault after a June 1 incident in the 400 block of West 15th Street, police said.

NO LICENSE: Javier Chavez, 28, 1213 Ashland Ave., Chicago Heights, was charged with driving without a valid license, no insurance and having only one headlight after a stop June 1 at Main Street and East End Avenue, police said.

BROKEN DOOR: A rear door was broken down June 2 at a house in the 1100 block of Grant Avenue.

BATTERY: A man attacked a Park Forest man and woman June 2 in the 200 block of East 16th Street.

DUI ARREST: John Trotier, 30, 66 E. 34th St., Steger, was charged with drunken driving, no insurance and improper parking on the roadway after he was found sleeping at the wheel of his running vehicle June 2 at Wentworth Avenue and 15th Street, police said.

POT POSSESSION: Joseph Howell, 35, of Hudsonville, Mich., was charged with possession of marijuana, improper backing and having a defective windshield after a June 2 stop at 16th Street and Stewart Avenue, police said.

BROKEN WINDOW: A woman threw a brick through a window June 3 at a house in the 1200 block of Peggy Lane.

DUI CASE: Gerell Jimerson, 27, 1024 Lexington Circle, Ford Heights, was charged with drunken driving, illegal transportation of alcohol, improper lane use and speeding after a stop June 3 at 14th Street and Parnell Avenue, police said.

VEHICLE BURGLARY: A bag containing clothes and other items was stolen June 3 from a vehicle in the 400 block of West 15th Place.

NO LICENSE: Roman Avala, 43, 1667 Buena Vista Ave., Chicago Heights, was charged with driving on a revoked license and having only one headlight after being stopped June 3 at Hickory and Aberdeen streets, police said.

DUI CHARGE: Christina R. Garza, 27, of Kankakee, was charged with drunken driving, driving with open alcohol, no insurance and running a stop sign after a June 3 stop at 8th Street and Ashland Avenue, police said. They said a passenger, Melissa V. Aguilar, 25, 152 E. 24th St., Chicago Heights, was charged with obstructing police in the same incident.

RETAIL THEFT: Gwendolyn Taylor, 52, 30 Olympic Village, Chicago Heights, was charged with retail theft after stealing items June 3 from Ultra Foods, 571 W. 14th St., police said.

ATTEMPTED BURGLARY: A man knocked on a door and then attempted to open a window June 3 at a house in the 1300 block of Peggy Lane.

BROKEN WINDOWS: Four windows were discovered broken June 4 at Roosevelt School, 1345 Sunnyside Ave.

HOME BURGLARY: A handgun, two bicycles, a welder and lawn mower were discovered stolen June 4 from a house in the 200 block of West 16th Street.

COCAINE CHARGE: Victor D. Gray, 24, 1109 Woodlawn St., Ford Heights, was charged with possession of cocaine and improper walking in the roadway June 4 in the 1500 block of Shields Avenue, police said.

DUI ALLEGED: Brandon L. Johns, 24, 3470 Haweswood Drive, Crete, was charged with drunken driving and speeding after a stop June 5 at State Street and Sauk Trail, police said.

WEAPON CHARGE: Pedro Ayala, 25, 44 W. 24th St., Chicago Heights, was charged with unlawful use of a weapon and speeding after a pistol was discovered in his vehicle during a June 5 stop at 13th Street and Chicago Road, police said.

SUSPENDED LICENSE: Alfonza Wylie, 22, 16314 Homan St., Markham, was charged with driving on a suspended license and speeding after being stopped June 5 at 13th Street and Chicago Road, police said.

VEHICLE BURGLARY: Change was stolen June 5 from a vehicle at Sesto Park, Western Avenue and Beacon Boulevard.

PROPERTY DAMAGE: A door of a house in the 1400 block of Lowe Avenue was damaged June 6 by gunfire.

GARAGE BURGLARY: A minibike was stolen June 6 from a garage in the 200 block of Plymouth Drive.

ASSAULT: Thomas E. McCall, 52, 19405 Oak Ave., Country Club Hills, was charged with assault after a June 6 incident at the Chicago Heights police station, 1601 S. Halsted St., police said.

BATTERY: Two women attacked a Chicago Heights woman with a baseball bat and pepper spray June 6 outside Millennium Food Market, 11 W. 16th St., police said.

REVOKED LICENSE: Deborah A. Anderson, 49, 3123 Chicago Road, South Chicago Heights, was charged with driving on a revoked license and no insurance after a stop June 7 at 15th Street and Center Avenue, police said.

STEGER

DISORDERLY CONDUCT: Sheila Ploof, 46, 349 Durham Drive, Steger, was charged with disorderly conduct after a May 22 dispute with a neighbor, police said.

THEFT: Jimmy D. Sorrell, 49, 528 Circle Drive, University Park, was charged with theft, driving on a revoked license and unlicensed scavenging after he stole a lawn mower May 23 from a front yard in the first block of East 227th Street, police said.

SUSPENDED LICENSE: Derrick A. Wallace, 46, no address given, was charged with driving on a suspended license and no insurance after a stop May 26 at 34th Street and Western Avenue, police said.

GARAGE BURGLARY: Items were stolen May 26 from a garage in the 100 block of Dorsetshire Street.

ORDER VIOLATED: Jeanette P. Richards, 43, 404 W. 34th St., Apt. 214, Steger, was arrested at her home and charged with violating an order of protection on May 27.

VEHICLE BURGLARY: Items were stolen May 27 from a vehicle in the 200 block of Carol Court.

VEHICLE BURGLARY: Tools were stolen May 27 from a vehicle in the 3500 block of John Street.

HOME BURGLARY: Items were reported stolen May 28 from a house in the 3800 block of Sangamon Street.

EMPLOYEE THEFT: Judith A. Gordon, 60, 207 E. Sauk Trail, South Chicago Heights, was charged with theft May 28 after stealing money while employed at Shell, 3507 Chicago Road, police said.

REVOKED LICENSE: Edward A. Sheehan, 47, 11438 Troy Ave., Merrionette Park, was charged with driving on a revoked license, illegal transportation of alcohol, no insurance and improper lane use after a stop May 28 in the 3000 block of Chicago Road, police said.

DAMAGED DOOR: A door was damaged May 28 at a building in the 3600 block of Union Avenue.

SUSPENDED LICENSE: Kyera Edmondson, 22, 2017 W. 142nd St., Dixmoor, was charged with driving on a suspended license, no insurance and speeding and was arrested on a Chicago warrant after a May 28 stop in the 3400 block of Lewis Avenue, police said.

BROKEN WINDOW: A window was broken May 28 at Parkview Elementary School, 100 W. Richton Road.

GRAFFITI: Graffiti was discovered May 29 on a garage in the 3400 block of Phillips Avenue, a garage in the 3300 block of Butler Avenue, a stop sign at 33rd Street and Hopkins Avenue and a driveway in the 3300 block of Hopkins Avenue.
