Chicago Heights, Crete police botter

CHICAGO HEIGHTS

SHED BURGLARY: A lawn mower was stolen June 4 from a shed in the first block of East Manchester Street.

SUSPENDED LICENSE: Jose M. Martinez, 32, 171 W. 13th St., Chicago Heights, was charged with driving on a suspended license and having expired registration after a June 8 stop at 14th and Halsted streets, police said.

PUBLIC INTOXICATION: Renard Anderson, 54, of Chicago, was charged with public intoxication, walking in the roadway and soliciting on the roadway after he was asking motorists for money June 8 at Joe Orr Road and Halsted Street, police said.

VEHICLE BURGLARIES: A vehicle was ransacked and a stereo was stolen from another vehicle June 8 or 9 in the 200 block of Bradley Street.

HOME BURGLARY: A television was stolen June 8 or 9 from a house in the 600 block of Andover Street.

BURGLARY: A water heater, sink, toilet, stove, washer, dryer, furnace and copper pipes were stolen June 9 from a vacant house in the first block of West 14th Street.

BATTERY: Kelly L. Jackson, 27, of Monee, was charged with battery after a June 9 altercation at Club 390, 390 E. Joe Orr Road, police said.

HOME BURGLARY: Clothing and shoes were stolen June 9 or 10 from an apartment in the 19400 block of Glenwood Road.

PROPERTY DAMAGE: Terrance Tyms, 19, 1919 Cambridge Drive, Chicago Heights, was charged with criminal damage to property after he damaged walls June 10 at a house in the 1200 block of Mason Court.

SLASHED TIRES: Three tires were flattened June 10 on a vehicle in the 100 block of West Main Street.

COCAINE CHARGE: Warren Lownes, 44, 7 Lakewood Court, Park Forest, was charged with possession of cocaine, driving without a valid license, running a stop sign and not wearing a seat belt after a stop June 10 at 24th Street and East End Avenue, police said.

FLATTENED TIRES: Three tires were flattened June 10 on a vehicle in the first block of West 23rd Street.

GARAGE BURGLARY: Frozen pizza and beer were stolen June 10 from a refrigerator in a garage in the 400 block of Wood Street.

THEFT: Two flower pots and 13 solar lights were stolen June 10 or 11 from a front yard in the 100 block of Kingston Place.

VANDALISM: A brick was thrown through a glass door June 10 or 11 at the Social Security Administration, 104 S. Halsted St.

BURGLARY: Several offices were ransacked June 10 or 11 at Chicago Heights Steel, 211 Main St.

THEFT: Six laptop computers were stolen June 10 or 11 from an office at St. James Hospital, 1423 Chicago Road.

TRESPASSING: Debra M. Heavlin, 48, 115 E. 25th St., Chicago Heights, was charged with trespassing and possession of drug paraphernalia June 11 in the first block of Olympic Village, police said. They said Jerry Vigliotti, 49, 187 W. Craig Drive, Chicago Heights, was also charged with trespassing.

SUSPENDED LICENSE: Kimberly Hood, 32, 388 W. Hickory St., Chicago Heights, was charged with driving on a suspended license and running a stop sign after a stop June 11 at 14th and Division streets, police said.

GRAFFITI: Gang graffiti was spray painted June 11 on the road at Southgate Avenue and Halsted Street.

THEFT: Three attached downspouts were stolen June 11 from a house in the 100 block of East 19th Street.

BROKEN WINDOWS: Two windows were broken June 11 or 12 at Roosevelt School, 1345 Sunnyside Ave.

VEHICLE BURGLARY: Two wallets were stolen June 12 from a vehicle in the 100 block of West 14th Street.

THEFT: Two coin-operated clothes dryers were stolen June 12 from the basement of a building in the 1300 block of Vincennes Avenue.

DAMAGED DOOR: A man kicked a door, causing damage, June 12 at a house in the 1600 block of School Street.

SUSPENDED LICENSE: David Brimley, 27, 21634 Gailane, Sauk Village, was charged with driving on a suspended license, running a stoplight and having expired registration after a stop June 12 at 14th and Aberdeen streets, police said.

THEFT: Mark Merli, 49, 1436 Schilling Ave., Chicago Heights, was charged with theft after he stole a 12-volt battery from a child’s motorized vehicle June 12 in the 100 block of West 14th Place, police said.

DUI CHARGE: Claudell B. Hood, 34, of Chicago, was charged with drunken driving, parking in the roadway and not wearing a seat belt after a June 12 stop in the 1800 block of Chicago Road, police said.

CAR THEFT: A 1995 Buick Regal was stolen June 13 in the first block of West 21st Street.

GARAGE BURGLARY: A television was stolen June 13 from a garage in the first block of West 21st Street.

WEAPON CHARGE: Paul F. House, 52, of Skokie, was charged with unlawful use of a weapon, driving on a suspended license and no insurance after he was found with a spring-loaded knife during a June 8 stop at Steger Road and Illinois 394, police said.

ROBBERY: A Country Club Hills man was beaten and robbed of cash by a man he was riding with June 9 in the 800 block of Huntley Woods Drive, police said.

HOME BURGLARY: A small amount of jewelry was stolen June 11 from a house in the 2400 block of Potomac Court.

POT POSSESSION: James Jezler, 22, 325 Gentry St., Park Forest, was charged with possession of marijuana, and Matthew Snodgrass, 22, 7449 Sycamore Court, Orland Park, was charged with driving on a suspended license after a stop June 11 at Steger Road and Illinois 394, police said.

SUSPENDED LICENSE: Maurice Payne, 31, 150 Lake Hill Drive, Steger, was charged with driving on a suspended license after a June 15 stop at Richton Road and Union Avenue, police said.

WARRANT ARREST: Tiffany Boyd, 24, of Chicago, was arrested on a Cook County warrant June 16 in the 800 block of Huntley Woods Drive.
