OAK LAWN
Resident robbed of wallet
A village resident was robbed of his wallet June 27 while walking near 108th Street and Cicero Avenue, police said.
The 22-year-old man told police he was walking north on Cicero Avenue about 2:40 p.m. when he was approached from behind by a man who implied he had a handgun and demanded his wallet.
Police said the victim threw his wallet, which contained $40 cash and identification, on the ground and walked away.
The robber — who wore a grey bandanna, hooded sweatshirt and jeans torn at the knees — retrieved the wallet and ran west on 108th Street, according to police.

Driver objects to speed advice
An Oak Lawn man and his children were threatened June 30 by a motorist whom the resident told to slow down on a residential street, police said.
They said the incident occurred about 9:45 p.m. in the 9300 block of Parkside Avenue, when a resident who was standing in his front yard yelled at the driver to slow down.
The motorist drove around the block, stopped in front of the house and yelled profanities at the man and neighbors before threatening to kill the man and his children, according to police.
Witnesses told police the man, who was intoxicated, began to exit his car when residents told him to leave the area, and he drove away.
