Country Club Hills, Homewood police blotter

COUNTRY CLUB HILLS

CAR BURGLARY: A wallet was stolen between June 28 and July 2 from a car outside a home in the 4200 block of West 176th Place.

DOMESTIC BATTERY: Pierre Spencer, 38, 16719 Butterfield Drive, Country Club Hills, was charged with domestic battery after a July 2 incident at his home, police said.

THEFT: A Harvey man told police someone stole his wallet July 3 when he left it on a check-out counter at Wal-Mart, 4005 W. 168th Place.

AGGRAVATED ASSAULT: Ernest Wooten, 54, 4000 W. 193rd St., Country Club Hills, was charged with aggravated assault after threatening a female neighbor with a knife on July 4, police said.

AGGRAVATED ASSAULT: Vanessa Wiggins, 55, 17500 Maple Ave., Country Club Hills, was charged with aggravated assault and domestic battery after a July 4 altercation at her home, police said.

BATTERY: Lachon Nichols, 35, 4104 Russet Way, Country Club Hills, was charged with battery after beating a man July 4 at 169th Street and Pulaski Road, following an earlier family disagreement, police said.

ASSAULT: Cierra Vaughn, 18, of Romeoville, was charged with assault after threatening a man during a July 4 argument outside the Country Club Hills police station, 3700 W. 175th Place, police said.

HOME BURGLARY: A flat-screen TV was stolen July 5 from a home in the 3600 block of School Drive.

DOMESTIC BATTERY: Nicholas Mayfield, 20, 3925 W. 167th Place, Country Club Hills, was charged with domestic battery after a July 6 incident at his home, police said.

DOMESTIC BATTERY: Domonique Smith, 18, 3920 W. 178th Place, Country Club Hills, was charged with domestic battery after a July 7 disturbance at her home, police said.

CAR BURGLARY: A wallet was stolen July 7 from a car parked at Wal-Mart, 4005 W. 168th Place.

DOMESTIC BATTERY: Darnell Jones, 27, 3145 Strafford, Markham, was charged with domestic battery after an incident July 8 near 183rd Street and Cicero Avenue, police said.

DOMESTIC BATTERY: Bryant Turner, 42, 637 E. Woodland, Chicago, was charged with domestic battery after a July 8 altercation in the 16700 block of Butterfield Drive, police said.

DOMESTIC BATTERY: Richard Hatcher III, 40, 17110 Central Park, Hazel Crest, was charged with domestic battery after a disturbance July 8 in the 17700 block of Country Club Drive, police said.

DOMESTIC BATTERY: Verdell Warren, 23, 18642 Chestnut Ave., Country Club Hills, was charged with domestic battery after a July 8 incident at Flossmoor Road and Cypress Drive, police said.

HOMEWOOD

VEHICLE BURGLARY: Paperwork was stolen June 29 from an unlocked vehicle in the 1200 block of Hillview Road.

DAMAGED DOOR: A glass entry door was shattered June 30 at Kohl’s, 17620 Halsted St.

DUI ARREST: Jervon Adams, 36, 4108 W. 137th St., Robbins, was charged with drunken driving, no insurance and improper lane use after a stop July 1 at Linden Road and Ashland Avenue, police said.

PROPERTY DAMAGE: Yesenia Montejano, 20, 19048 Jonathan Lane, Homewood, was charged with criminal damage to property and underage drinking after a July 1 incident at her home, police said.

VEHICLE BURGLARY: Items were discovered stolen July 1 from a vehicle in the 1400 block of Carson Court.

ATTEMPTED BURGLARY: A screen was removed and a window was pried open July 1 on a garage in the 2500 block of Lawrence Drive.

POT POSSESSION: Glenn Brawner-Martinez, 26, of Chicago, was charged with possession of marijuana and drug paraphernalia, no insurance and improper lane use after a stop July 1 in the 3100 block of 183rd Street, police said.

RUSE SCAM: A resident of the 18800 block of May Avenue was asked to come outside July 2 to discuss an issue with her bushes but returned inside because of the heat and found a man inside and a jewelry box moved. The man fled out the front door.

RETAIL THEFT: Megan McGuffey, 35, 22845 Frederick Road, Steger, was charged with retail theft after she tried to steal about $750 worth of clothing July 3 from Target, 17605 Halsted St., police said.

BATTERY: Doris D. Contreras 48, 18633 Highland Ave., Homewood, was charged with battery after a July 3 incident at a neighbor’s house, police said.

DAMAGED PROPERTY: A screen was discovered cut July 4 at a house in the 18000 block of Perth Avenue.

BROKEN WINDOW: A window was broken July 4 at a house in the 18400 block of Center Avenue.

VEHICLE BURGLARY: Cash was stolen July 5 from a vehicle in the 18400 block of Stedhall Road.
