COUNTRY CLUB HILLS

TIRES SLASHED: Four tires were slashed July 13 on a car in the 17400 block of Eastgate Drive.

BATTERY: Detric Slaughter, 34, 4533 Provincetown Drive, Country Club Hills, a clerk at VIP Apparel, 4003 W. 175th St., was charged with battery and disorderly conduct after striking a police officer by shutting a door on him July 14 when police responded to complaints of loud noise within the store, police said.

AGGRAVATED ASSAULT: Marvin Day, 51, 1727 S. Indiana Ave., Chicago, was charged with aggravated assault after threatening security officers July 14 at Country Club Hills Theater, 4150 W. 183rd St., after they refused to allow him to enter through a closed entrance, police said. They said Earlene Bibbs-Hayden, 56, 2314 Windsor Lane, Country Club Hills, was charged with battery and disorderly conduct after threatening staff and police officers responding to the incident.

FLOSSMOOR

BIKE THEFT: A bicycle was stolen July 15 from a rack at the Flossmoor Public Library, 1035 Sterling Ave.

STOLEN BIKE: A bicycle and lock were stolen July 18 from a rack at the Flossmoor Metra station, 1077 Sterling Ave.

RESISTING ARREST: Preston Sparkman, 26, 1327 Hamlin Ave., Flossmoor, was charged with improper walking on the roadway and resisting arrest July 19 in the 3300 block of Flossmoor Road, police said.

HOMEWOOD

DUI ARREST: David Jones, 24, of Chicago, was charged with drunken driving and making an illegal turn after a stop July 14 in the 2100 block of 183rd Street, police said.

HEROIN CHARGE: Joshua Rowland, 29, 204 Water St., Thornton, was charged with possession of heroin July 14 in the 17600 block of Halsted Street, police said.

DUI CASE: Steve Crosby, 58, of Chicago, was charged with drunken driving and improper lane use after he was stopped July 16 in the 900 block of 175th Street, police said.

SUSPENDED LICENSE: Deonte Harris, 18, 22510 Latonia Lane, Richton Park, was charged with driving on a suspended license, speeding and obstructing identification after a July 16 stop in the 3100 block of 183rd Street, police said.

VEHICLE BURGLARY: Three phones were stolen July 16 from a vehicle in the 900 block of Elder Road.

SUSPENDED LICENSE: Kyle Johnson, 25, 444 Winston St., Chicago Heights, was charged with driving on a suspended license and having a defective windshield after being stopped July 17 at 187th and Halsted streets, police said.

HOME BURGLARY: A television was stolen July 16 or 17 from a house in the 18800 block of Juhlin Drive.

FORGERY: Wendell Turner, 21, of Bradley, Ill., was charged with forgery and was arrested on a Homewood warrant July 17 at TCF Bank, 3153 183rd St., police said.

DISORDERLY CONDUCT: Marques Johnson, 19, 4630 189th St., Country Club Hills, was charged with disorderly conduct after he was found fondling himself with his pants around his ankles July 17 in Patriots Park, 1300 187th St., police said.

EMPLOYEE THEFT: Ellen Bennett, 46, of Chicago, was charged with theft July 17 after stealing items while employed at TJ Maxx, 17900 Halsted St., police said.

POT POSSESSION: Larita Johnson, 20, 12514 Fairview, Blue Island, was charged with possession of marijuana, driving on a suspended license and having only one headlight after a July 18 stop in the 17800 block of Kedzie Avenue, police said.

VEHICLE BURGLARY: A bag of clothes was stolen July 18 from a vehicle in the 19000 block of Jodi Terrace.

POT POSSESSION: Leonard Hussain, 25, 813 Bowling Green, Homewood, was charged with possession of marijuana and was arrested on a Cook County warrant July 18 at Apollo Park, 1050 191st St., police said.
