Police in Palos Hills have arrested three men in connection with a series of residential burglaries.
George Pittman, 18, of Hickory Hills, was charged Saturday with five counts of burglary and faces more charges in other southwest suburbs, Palos Hills police said.
An investigation into two men arrested for residential burglary from July — Deaaron McCoy, 19, of Chicago and Jamel Johnson, 18, of Justice — led to Pittman’s arrest, police said.
All three were part of a burglary group that would knock on doors and ask for direction if residents were home. If not, they would break in and take anything that was quickly available, the release said.
The Southwest Major Crimes Case Unit is investigating whether anyone else was involved in the burglaries.
