New Lenox, Will County police blotter

NEW LENOX

BURGLARY: Anthony Lukas, 22, 135 Pueblo Court, Frankfort, was charged with burglary to a vehicle and no insurance after he was found Oct. 12 in the backyard of a neighbor’s home with property taken from a vehicle in the 300 block of Monterey Drive, police said. They said Lukas also was arrested on a Will County warrant.

SUSPENDED LICENSE: Jaclyn Bentkowski, 26, 21107 S. 80th Ave., Frankfort, was charged with driving on a suspended license and no insurance after a stop Oct. 12 at U.S. 30 and Interstate 80, police said. They said Bentkowski also was arrested on a Tinley Park warrant.

GAS AND GO: A customer pumped $60 worth of gas Oct. 12 at a station in the 400 block of Nelson Road and left without paying for it.

DOOR DAMAGED: A door handle on a front door was damaged Oct. 12 in the 100 block of Oakview Drive.

LOCK DAMAGED: A lock on a propane gas tank cage was damaged Oct. 13 at the BP station in the 100 block of East U.S. 30.

DUI ARREST: Jeffrey Erikson, 37, 11541 Bryn Mawr Way, Mokena, was charged with drunken driving and failure to reduce speed to avoid an accident after an accident Oct. 13 at U.S. 30 and Cedar Road, police said.

SHED BURGLARY: Two dirt bikes and a handmade go-kart were stolen from a backyard shed Oct. 14 in the 900 block of Woodlawn Road.

WILL COUNTY

NO LICENSE: Alberto Ignacio Perez, 29, 9326 Hawthorne, Orland Hills was charged with driving without a valid license and speeding after a stop Oct. 11 at Maple and Parker roads, New Lenox Township, police said.

BURGLARY: Someone broke in and rifled through file cabinets Oct. 13 at All Stars Sports Bar in the 7800 block of West U.S. 30 in Frankfort Township. Nothing appeared to be missing, police said.

WEAPONS CHARGES: Timothy S. Cleary, 51, 9207 W. Magnolia, Mokena, was charged with illegal possession of a firearm, aggravated unlawful use of a weapon, illegal possession of ammunition and violating an order of protection after a stop Oct. 13 at Magnolia and Sycamore drives, Frankfort Township, police said.
