COUNTRY CLUB HILLS
BURGLARY: An air conditioner was stole from a vacant house in the 4300 block of 177th Street between Nov. 1 and Dec. 7.
BURGLARY: A furnace and air conditioning unit were stolen between Nov. 5 and Dec. 4 from a vacant house in the 17700 block of Anthony Avenue.
THEFT: Denise Spivey, 45, 9619 S. Carpenter St., Chicago, was charged with theft after stealing $3,000 from Wal-Mart by undercharging items while she was employed as a cashier between Nov. 6 and Dec. 2, police said.
STOLEN SUV: A 1999 Honda Passport was stolen Dec. 3 while it was left running in the 4400 block of 177th Place.
HOME BURGLARY: A laptop computer and video game system were taken Dec. 3 from a house in the 3900 block of 171st Street.
CAR THEFT: A 2002 Buick Regal was stolen Dec. 3 or 4 from a driveway in the 4600 block of 189th Street.
HIT AND RUN: Irvin Wheeler, 22, 17740 John Ave., Country Club Hills, was charged with hit and run, driving on a suspended license and no insurance after crashing into two cars Dec. 4 in a parking lot in the 4300 block of 180th Street and fleeing the scene, police said.
TRESPASSING: Youhn Hannah, 27, 2801 Western Ave., Park Forest, and Marcell Perry, 26, 7425 S. May St., Chicago, were charged with criminal trespass after police discovered them Dec. 5 in a vacant house in the 4300 block of 183rd Street, police said.
BURGLARY: Copper piping was stolen from a vacant house in the 17700 block of Cypress Avenue sometime before Dec. 7
RETAIL THEFT: Amber James, 40, 12801 Winchester Ave., Blue Island, was charged with retail theft after stealing $924 worth of merchandise Dec. 7 from Wal-Mart, 4005 W. 168th Place, police said.
DUI ARREST: Jean Barton-Starnes, 65, 4211 W. 175th Place, Country Club Hills, was charged with drunken driving and making an improper turn after a Dec. 8 stop at 175th Street and Eastgate Drive, police said.
DOMESTIC BATTERY: Domonique Smith, 18, 3920 W. 178th Place, was charged with domestic battery after a Dec. 8 incident at her home, police said.
CAR BURGLARY: A laptop computer, USB drive, a backpack and a Bible were stolen Dec. 9 from a car in the 4000 block of 193rd Street.
THEFT: A man’s backpack, which contained clothing and his passport from India, was stolen Nov. 27 from the Mobil gas station, 17500 Dixie Highway.
RUSE BURGLARY: Two men stole undermined items Dec. 3 from a house in the 1200 block of Birch Road. One man distracted the homeowner by asking for water while a second man got into the house and broke a lock on a safe, police said.
PILFERED PLATE: The front license plate was stolen Dec. 3 or 4 from a vehicle in the 2800 block of Willow Road.
POT POSSESSION: Carlton Lewis, 19, of Hazel Crest, was charged with possession of marijuana, resisting arrest and criminal damage to property Dec. 4 after a stop at Heather Road and Martin Avenue, where he fled but was caught after a brief chase, police said.
BIKE THEFT: A bicycle was stolen Dec. 4 from the front porch of a home in the 18600 block of Center Avenue.
DUI ARREST: Kelly Hoover, 24, of the 4000 block of Appleby Court in Richton Park, was charged with drunken driving, illegal transportation of alcohol, no insurance and no rear plate light after a stop Dec. 6 at Harwood Avenue and Ridge Road, police said.
RETAIL THEFT: Edgar DeJesus, 36, of the 6800 block of Chelsea Road in Tinley Park, was charged with retail theft Dec. 6 after he loaded his truck with construction material valued at $268 at Menards, 17545 Halsted St., police said.
THEFT: An employee’s coat was stolen Dec. 6 from behind a counter at Ebel’s Ace Hardware, 18410 Governors Highway.
ARMED ROBBERY: Two men, one of them armed with an undisclosed weapon, stole two wallets, two cellphones, a calculator, school books and $3 from two youths Dec. 6 at the Extreme Scene Skate Park, 18350 Harwood Ave., police said.
RETAIL THEFT: Two juveniles were charged with retail theft Dec. 6 after they stole clothing worth $172 from Kohl’s, 17620 Halsted St., police said.
THEFT: The registration sticker was stolen Dec. 6 or 7 from the rear license plate of a vehicle in the 18800 block of Carson Drive.
HOME BURGLARY: A laptop computer, a piggy bank and $40 in change were stolen Dec. 7 from a house in the 3000 block of Matthew Lane.
DUI CHARGE: Robert Perez, 56, of the 16200 block of Wallace Avenue in Harvey, was charged with drunken driving, possession of a hypodermic syringe and speeding after a Dec. 7 stop at 183rd Street and Riegel Road, police said.
SUSPENDED LICENSE: Principenia Benson, 52, of Chicago, was charged with driving on a suspended license, speeding and criminal damage to property after being stopped Dec. 7 at Dixie Highway and Heather Road, police said.
THEFT: A cellphone was stolen Dec. 8 at the Homewood-Flossmoor Sport Complex, 18211 Aberdeen St., while its owner played basketball.
PURLOINED PURSE: A woman’s wallet containing $95 was stolen from her purse Dec. 8 while she ate lunch at Culver’s restaurant, 850 183rd St.
THEFT: The top, six-foot-long section of a flagpole was stolen Dec. 8 or 9 from outside a house in the 18600 block of Heather Court.
THEFT: Golf clubs and a golf bag were stolen Dec. 9 from an open garage in the first block of Bowling Green Drive.
