A Tinley Park woman accused of driving over her boyfriend during a Friday argument outside her home was ordered held on $100,000 bond.
Christine A. Meyers picked up her boyfriend from a bar and the two began arguing as she drove back to her home in the 17700 block of South Ridgeland Avenue in Tinley Park, according to prosecutors and court documents.
When the couple arrived at Meyers’ home, her boyfriend exited the vehicle and laid down in front of it, prosecutors said. Meyers then intentionally drove over him, causing severe burns to his chest, back and genitals.
Meyers, 23, was charged with one count of felony aggravated domestic battery. Judge Adam D. Bourgeois scolded Meyers for becoming violent during an argument and ordered her held on $100,000 bond.
Meyers’ attorney said the boyfriend — who had lived with her — is out of the hospital and moved back in with his mother. Meyers has been arrested for previous driving offenses, the attorney said.
She will be back in court at 9 a.m. Tuesday in Bridgeview.
