CHICAGO HEIGHTS

CAR THEFT: A 1995 Lexus was stolen between Dec. 3 and 12 from the 1100 block of Grant Avenue.

ASSAULT: Tyrin Deere, 37, was charged with assault after a Dec. 10 domestic incident at the Olympic Village apartments, police said.

AMMO CHARGE: Edward Amadio Jr., 52, 829 Ashland Ave., Chicago Heights, was charged with possession of ammunition without a firearm owner’s ID card after police questioned him Dec. 10 following complaints he was harassing people and trying to sell them a VCR near the 1000 block of Scott Avenue, police said.

PHONE PILFERED: A Chicago Heights woman told police a man ran off with her cellphone Dec. 10 in the first block of East 16th Street, after asking her if he could borrow it.

DISORDERLY CONDUCT: Ricky Stevenson, 43, of Chicago Heights, was charged with disorderly conduct after causing a disturbance Dec. 10 in the waiting room at Grand Prairie Services, 450 W. 14th St., and threatening to kill people, police said.

BURGLARY: A snow blower, a bicycle, a leaf blower and other tools were stolen Dec. 12 or 13 from two outdoor sheds in the 200 block of West 14th Place.

CAR BURGLARY: About $600 cash was taken Dec. 13 from a car in the 1300 block of Center Avenue.

TRUCK THEFT: A 1993 Chevrolet pickup truck was stolen Dec. 13 in the 1000 block of Campbell Avenue.

CAR BURGLARY: A stereop and $120 cash were taken Dec. 14 from a car in the 400 block of West 14th Street.

DUI CHARGE: Latina Bentley, 39, 131 Sauk Trail, Park Forest, was charged with drunken driving and driving with one head light after a Dec. 14 stop at 19th Street and Chicago Road, police said.

PURLOINED PURSE: A Chicago Heights woman told police her purse was taken Dec. 15 at the Salvation Army Thrift Store, 150 N. Halsted St.

ASSAULT: Treaty McKnight, 59, 145 Constance Lane, Chicago Heights, was charged with assault after threatening a woman at his home on Dec. 15, police said.

HOME BURGLARY: A flat-screen television was stolen Dec. 15 or 16 from a home in the 100 block of Maple Drive.

HOME BURGLARY: About $500 cash and cookware were stolen Dec. 16 from a home in the first block of West 25th Street.

BIKE THEFT: A resident told police someone stole two bicycles Dec. 16 from the common area of her apartment building in the 200 block of West 15th Place.

DUI ARREST: Jose Martinez, 46, 148 W. Normandy Drive, Chicago Heights, was charged with drunken driving and no insurance after a stop Dec. 16 at Main Street and East End Avenue, police said.
