Country Club Hills, Homewood police blotter

COUNTRY CLUB HILLS

BURGLARY: Someone stole a furnace, air conditioning unit, hot water tank and copper piping from a vacant home around Dec. 11 in the 17500 block of Winston Drive.

SCROOGE STEALS: A resident of the 18100 block of Ravisloe Terrace told police someone stole her son’s Christmas gifts Dec. 12 by illegally signing for the packages that were delivered by UPS.

DOMESTIC BATTERY: Bradley Richardson, 53, 18125 Thomas Lane, Country Club Hills, was charged with domestic battery after a Dec. 13 incident at his home, police said.

CAR BURGLARY: A purse was taken Dec. 14 from a car parked in the 18600 block of Loras Court.

HOME BURGLARY: Two electric base guitars were stolen Dec. 14 from a home in the 4500 block of Provincetown Drive.

BURGLARY: Someone stole the appliances, a television, clothing and tools Dec. 6 from a home in the process of foreclosure in the 17700 block of Arlington Drive.

CREDIT FRAUD: A resident reported that he had a credit card stolen Nov. 10 or 11 and was not aware of it until recently when he was informed that the card had been canceled and another was opened in Greensboro, N.C., with about $4,276 charged to it.

HOME BREAK-IN: Someone broke down a door to get into a house Dec. 13 in the 100 block of Maple Road, but nothing was stolen.

IDENTITY THEFT: John Owens, 27, of the 9400 block of Claremont, Chicago, was charged with identity theft, possession of fraudulent identification, driving on a suspended license and no rear plate light after a stop Dec. 13 in the 17700 block of Halsted Street, police said. They said a search of the vehicle found multiple credit cards under different names and a fraudulent driver’s license from Indiana.

THEFT: Kristen Ward, 40, of the 17500 block of Cedar Avenue, Tinley Park, was charged with retail theft and possession of drug paraphernalia after stealing cosmetics and baby formula Dec. 14 from Target, 17601 Halsted St, police said.

SUSPENDED LICENSE: Keith Rios, 23, of Harvey, was charged with driving on a suspended license, illegal transportation of alcohol, speeding and having expired registration after a Dec. 16 stop on Governors Highway, police said.
