Midlothian, Oak Forest police blotter

MIDLOTHIAN

THEFT: An air conditioner was stolen between Dec. 3 and 18 from a vacant house in the 14300 block of Springfield Avenue.

SUSPENDED LICENSE: Reggie F. Johnson, 32, of Chicago, was charged with driving on a suspended license, speeding, illegal transportation of alcohol and not wearing a seat belt Dec. 18 after a stop at 150th Street and Cicero Avenue, police said.

SUSPENDED LICENSE: Ricky J. Turner, 30, of Robbins, was charged with driving on a suspended license after he was stopped Dec. 18 at 148th Street and Pulaski Road, police said.

WEAPONS CHARGE: Jesse H. Johnson, 21, 14637 Abbottsford Road, Midlothian, was charged with possession of a firearm by a felon, illegal possession of ammunition and trespassing after a Dec. 18 disturbance at his house, police said.

LICENSE SUSPENDED: Francisco Betancourt, 25, 14838 Lawndale Ave., Midlothian, was charged with driving on a suspended license after a stop Dec. 19 at 147th Street and Kedzie Avenue, police said.

SUSPENDED LICENSE: Kay F. Frances, 52, 14639 Keystone Ave., Midlothian, was charged with driving on a suspended license after a Dec. 19 stop at 146th Street and Keystone Avenue, police said.

SUSPENDED LICENSE: Cory N. Scott, 31, 123 Treehouse Road, Matteson, was charged with driving on a suspended license Dec. 21 following a stop at 149th Street and Pulaski Road, police said.

DRUG ARREST: Clara M. Ratcliff, 53, 6870 W. Winding Trail Road, Oak Forest, was charged with possession of a controlled substance and driving without a valid license Dec. 21 after she was stopped at 149th Street and Lawndale Avenue, police said.

SUSPENDED LICENSE: William E. Potts, 29, of Hazel Crest, was charged with driving on a suspended license after a stop Dec. 22 at 146th Street and Kedzie Avenue, police said.

LICENSE SUSPENDED: Rodney L. Johnson, 27, of Robbins, was charged with driving on a suspended license Dec. 27 following a stop at Springfield Avenue and Claire Boulevard, police said.

SUSPENDED LICENSE: Dennis J. Vassel, 39, of Dolton, was charged with driving on a suspended license after being stopped Dec. 27 at 147th Street and Harding Avenue, police said.

SUSPENDED LICENSE: Derrick Thomas, 50, of Markham, was charged with driving on a suspended license Dec. 27 after he was stopped at 146th Street and Kedzie Avenue, police said.

LICENSE SUSPENDED: Shawn A. Flores, 33, 15045 Springfield Ave., Midlothian, was charged with driving on a suspended license after a Dec. 28 stop in the 3900 block of 154th Place, police said.

OAK FOREST

BURGLARY: Tools, a computer and a oped were stolen between Dec. 16 and 23 from a garage in the 15600 block of Lavergne Avenue.

RETAIL THEFT: Joshua Runions, 31, of Markham, was charged with retail theft Dec. 20 after he stole merchandise from Food4Less, 5556 W. 159th St., police said.

HIT AND RUN: Sean R. Sauter, 22, 15714 Lake Drive, Oak Forest, was charged with leaving the scene of an accident, driving too fast for conditions, no insurance and not wearing a seat belt Dec. 21 after he struck a parkway tree in the 14800 block of Mission, police said.

LICENSE SUSPENDED: Monica Amen, 22, of Robbins, was charged with driving on a suspended license Dec. 21 after a stop at 159th Street and Central Avenue, police said.

VANDALISM: The window of a Chevrolet Monte Carlo was smashed Dec. 22 while parked in the 4400 block of Adele Lane.

CAR BURGLARY: A laptop computer and a purse were stolen Dec. 22 from a car in the parking lot of Beggar’s Pizza, 15600 Cicero Ave.

SUSPENDED LICENSE: Nicholas W. Piper, 35, of Chicago, was charged with driving on a suspended license, no insurance and speeding after a stop Dec. 24 at 158th Street and Laramie Avenue, police said.

HIT AND RUN: Abel Ramirez-Esparza, 35, of North Bend, Wash., was charged with leaving the scene of an accident, no insurance and failure to reduce speed to avoid an accident Dec. 24 after a stop at 155th Street and Lavergne Avenue, police said. They said the accident occurred at 151st Street and Long Avenue.

VANDALISM: A landscape rock was thrown Dec. 26 through the window of a business in the 5100 block of 159th Street.

RETAIL THEFT: Darren L. Wright, 38, of Markham, was charged with retail theft Dec. 27 after he stole nine bottles of alcohol from Jewel-Osco, 5616 W. 159th St., police said. They said he also was arrested on Cook County warrants for retail theft.
