CHICAGO HEIGHTS
BURGLARY: Someone stole copper piping, a furnace, two refrigerators, two stoves and two toilets from an abandoned building in the first block of West 14th Place sometime after Oct. 12.
BURGLARY: A gas stove and furnace were stolen between Dec. 22 and Jan. 11 from a vacant house in the 600 block of Travers Court.
BURGLARY: Copper piping, a furnace and a water heater were stolen sometime prior to Jan. 3 from a vacant home in the 1900 block of Boston Street.
CAR THEFT: A 1995 Cadillac Seville was stolen Jan. 10 or 11 in the 1400 block of Otto Boulevard.
DUI CHARGE: Abraham Ortiz, 33, 212 W. 14th St., Chicago Heights, was charged with drunken driving, running a red light and driving on a suspended license after a nearly hitting a police car Jan. 10 at East End and 14th Avenue, police said.
CAR THEFT: A 1999 Toyota Camry was stolen Jan. 11 from a gas station in the 400 block of West 14th Street.
DUI ARREST: Jesus Munoz, 29, was charged with drunken driving, driving too fast for conditions, running a stop sign, driving on a suspended license and not wearing a seat belt after a Jan. 11 stop in the 100 block of 22nd Street, police said.
BURGLARY: A Chicago Heights man told police someone stole his immigration papers and jewelry Jan. 12 from his home in the 100 block of Normandy Drive.
CAR THEFT: A 2008 Chevrolet Malibu was stolen Jan. 12 in the 300 block of West 15th Place.
HOME BURGLARY: Two televisions, two laptop computers and jewelry were stolen Jan. 13 from a home in the 1500 block of Euclid Avenue.
SUV THEFT: A 2002 Mercury sport utility vehicle was stolen Jan. 13 in the 19400 block of Glenwood Road.
HOME BURGLARY: Jewelry and $6,000 cash was stolen Jan. 13 from a house in the first block of 12th Street.
