Country Club Hills, Homewood police blotter

COUNTRY CLUB HILLS

RETAIL THEFT: Diane Ray, 53, 6933 S. Stewart Ave., Chicago, was charged with retail theft after stealing $400 worth of clothing and bedding from Wal-Mart, 4005 W. 168th Place, on April 29, police said.

THEFT: A wallet was stolen April 29 from a shopping cart at Wal-Mart, 4005 W. 168th Place.

BURGLARY: A chain saw and $100 worth of batteries were stolen April 29 or 30 from a garage in the 4400 block of 182nd Place.

DUI ARREST: Darren Jones, 46, 18920 Maple Ave., Country Club Hills, was charged with drunken driving, driving on a suspended license, no registration, no insurance and speeding after an April 30 stop at 183rd Street and Cicero Avenue, police said.

CAR BURGLARY: A computer tablet and loose change were stolen May 1 or 2 from a car in the 18600 block of Keeler Avenue.

THEFT: Copper piping, interior light fixtures, two medicine cabinets, two toilets, exterior lights, outlets and 20 metal closet shelves were stolen between May 1 and 4 from a vacant home in the 18000 block of Poplar Lane.

DOMESTIC BATTERY: Monica Sartin, 39, 16917 Glen Oaks Drive, Country Club Hills, was charged with domestic battery after a May 3 incident at her home, police said.

BURGLARY: A purse was stolen May 4 from a car in the 4400 block of 175th Street.

HOMEWOOD

MARIJUANA CHARGE: Nathaniel Banks, 55, of Harvey, was charged with possession of marijuana and no front license plate April 26 after a stop in the 19800 block of Halsted Street, police said.

POT POSSESSION: Tiante Whitaker, 25, of the 1200 block of Jamie Lane in Homewood, was charged with possession of marijuana and improper lane use, and Anthony Hall, 19, of Dolton, was charged with obstructing police after a stop April 26 at 187th Street and Center Avenue, police said.

VANDALISM: The front window of a car was shattered April 26 or 27 in the first block of Evergreen Road.

DOMESTIC BATTERY: James Turner, 41, of the 18200 block of Center Avenue in Homewood, was charged with domestic battery April 27 after an incident at his residence, police said.

RETAIL THEFT: Levander Peterson, 19, of Dolton, was charged with retail theft after he stole goods April 28 from Kohl’s, 17620 Halsted St., police said.

DUI ARREST: Rontel Pullum, 38, of Calumet Park, was charged with drunken driving, driving on a suspended license and no insurance after an April 28 stop at Bruce Lane and Arquilla Drive, police said.

RETAIL THEFT: James DeBerry, 51, of the 500 block of West 126th Street in Chicago, was charged with retail theft after stealing merchandise May 3 from Super Kmart, 17550 Halsted St., police said.

THEFT: Someone stole all four rims and tires May 3 from a car parked in the 18100 block of Sacramento Avenue.
