COUNTRY CLUB HILLS
THEFT: Someone broke into a vacant house in the 4600 block of 176th Place between May 1 and 13 and stole copper pipe.
DUI CHARGE: Andres Escalona-Rojas, 35, 7121 W. 166th St., #3A, Tinley Park, was charged with drunken driving, driving without a valid license and improper lane use after a May 14 stop at 175th Street and Pulaski Road, police said.
THEFT: A diamond watch, a necklace and a bracelet were stolen May 14 during a party at a residence in the 4800 block of Summerhill Drive.
THEFT: A basketball hoop rim was stolen May 15 from a back yard in the 17200 block of Park Lane.
EMPLOYEE THEFT: Jaquelyn Gray, 35, 7442 S. Phillips Ave., #2A, Chicago, was charged with retail theft after allowing customers to go through her cashier line without paying on May 15, resulting in a loss of about $200 worth of goods from Wal-Mart, 4005 W. 168th Place, police said.
EMPLOYEE THEFT: Melissa Legacy, 29, 18771 Loran Lane, Country Club Hills, was charged with theft for undercharging customers at the BP station, 18300 Cicero Ave., and pocketing the money on several occasions from May 17 to 22, police said.
ASSAULT: Eric Ridgner, 33, 3843 168th Place, Country Club Hills, was charged with domestic assault after a disturbance May 18 in the 3800 block of 171st Street, police said.
RESISTING POLICE: Marcel Gibson, 21, 16512 Wood St., Markham, was charged with resisting police, obstructing justice, driving on a suspended license and failing to wear a seat belt and was arrested on a Winnebago County warrant after a May 22 stop at 183rd Street and Pulaski Road, police said. They said Gibson gave police a phony name and tried to flee on foot before getting back in his car and trying to start it when he was apprehended.
RETAIL THEFT: Paul Wiltz, 27, of the 18800 block of Morgan Avenue in Homewood, was charged with retail theft after stealing goods May 17 from Super Kmart, 17550 Halsted St., police said.
ASSAULT: LaShanda Burkins, 26, of the 18700 block of Kings Road in Homewood, was charged with assault and criminal damage to property after a May 18 incident at her residence, police said.
PROPERTY DAMAGE: Darnell Payne, 42, of Chicago, was charged with criminal damage to property after an incident May 18 at a gas station in the 17500 block of Dixie Highway, police said.
THEFT: Someone stole tires and rims off a car May 18 or 19 at Chevrolet of Homewood, 18033 Halsted St.
WINDOW BROKEN: Someone damaged the rear window of a vehicle May 18 or 19 in the 2900 block of Chayes Park Drive.
RETAIL THEFT: Jalil Smith, 18, of Harvey, was charged with retail theft after stealing items May 21 from Super Kmart, 17550 Halsted St., police said.
