Tinley Park police blotter

TINLEY PARK

BURGLARY: Several appliances were stolen between May 17 and June 4 from a vacant house in the 7600 block of 160th Place.

VANDALISM: Several cars, a garage and playground equipment were defaced with paint June 11 in the 6500 block of Terrace Drive.

DISORDERLY CONDUCT: Balente DeLara, 37, 17126 W. 71st Ave., Tinley Park, was charged with disorderly conduct June 11 after he followed a 16-year-old employee with his car while she collected shopping carts in the parking lot of Jewel-Osco, 17117 Harlem Ave., police said.

THEFT: A wallet was stolen June 11 from the purse of a customer at Walt’s Food Store, 16039 Harlem Ave.

CAR BURGLARY: A spare tire was stolen June 12 or 13 from a van in the lot of Comfort Suites Hotel, 18400 Spring Creek Drive.

CAR BURGLARY: A purse was stolen June 13 from a car in the lot of Walker School, 19900 S. 80th Ave.

DUI ARREST: Amalynda Lang, 27, 8217 Brickstone, Frankfort, was charged with drunken driving, improper backing and failure to reduce speed to avoid an accident after hitting a car June 15 in the parking lot of Durbin’s, 17265 Oak Park Ave., police said.

BATTERY: Kaitlyn Simon, 24, 11230 Moraine Drive, Palos Hills, was charged with battery after punching a woman in the head during a June 15 concert at First Midwest Bank Amphitheater, 19100 Ridgeland Ave., police said.

BATTERY: Jacob D. R. Thompson, 27, of Aurora, was charged with battery June 15 after hitting a man during a concert at First Midwest Bank Amphitheater, 19100 Ridgeland Ave., police said.

SUSPENDED LICENSE: Kathryn Arena, 55, of Matteson, was charged with driving on a suspended license and failure to reduce speed to avoid an accident June 15 after a stop at 183rd Street and Harlem Avenue, police said.

ASSAULT: David Hanna, 40, of Sterling, Ill., was charged with assault after threatening someone June 15 in the 7700 block of 173rd Street, police said.
