CHICAGO HEIGHTS

STOLEN PIPE: Several feet of copper piping was stolen sometime in June from a rental home in the 100 block of East 24th Street.

COKE CHARGE: Gabriel Hidalgo, 45, 18 E. 19th Place, Chicago Heights, was charged with possession of cocaine and drug paraphernalia and improper lane use after a stop June 28 at 12th Street and West End Avenue, police said.

HOME BURGLARY: A television and video game console were stolen June 28 from a house in the 1500 block of Donovan Drive.

CAR BURGLARY: $287 in cash was stolen June 29 from a car in the 1800 block of Chicago Road.

CAR BURGLARY: A wallet was taken from a car June 29 or 30 in the 700 block of Union Avenue.

HOME BURGLARY: Five flat-screen televisions, three video game systems, two iPads, two laptop computers, three DVD players, a CD player, a digital camera and a gym bag were stolen between June 29 and July 1 from a house in the 100 block of Thelma Lane.

MAN ATTACKED: A Chicago man told police he was beaten by several men June 30 while at a party at the Olympic Village apartments and lost his keys in the incident.

FUNNY MONEY: The owner of Dimitri Best Food, 205 W. Joe Orr Road, Chicago Heights, told police that a woman tried to buy a hot dog with a counterfeit $100 bill July 1, before fleeing the restaurant, police said.

DUI ARREST: Enrique Cortez, 31, 516 W. 14th Place, Chicago Heights, was charged with drunken driving, driving without a valid license and no insurance after a July 1 stop at Chicago Road and Main Street, police said.

DOMESTIC BATTERY: Victor Estrada, 26, 1627 Thorn St., Apt. 3, Chicago Heights, was charged with domestic battery after a July 1 incident at his home, police said.

GARAGE BURGLARY: A television, video game system, dirt bike and tools were taken July 1 or 2 from a garage in the 1200 block of Park Avenue.
