RESISTING POLICE: Brande Hughes, 29, 4606 Lincoln Blvd., Richton Park, was charged with resisting police and obstructing police June 28 when she refused to stay inside a car driven by a friend who had been stopped for speeding and then resisted being handcuffed at a gas station in the 4700 block of Vollmer Road, police said.
RETAIL THEFT: Alicia Townsend, 23, 7313 Southwick Court, Frankfort, was charged with retail theft after stealing $190 worth of groceries July 14 from Dominick’s, 4233 W. U.S. 30, police said.
CAR BURGLARY: A GPS system and loose change were stolen June 28 or 29 from an unlocked car in the 300 block of Sioux Street.
HOME BURGLARY: A $7,000 Rolex watch in a locked box was stolen between July 2 and 7 from a house in the 100 block of Sycamore Drive.
THEFT: A wallet was stolen July 6 from a woman at First Baptist Church, 80 N. Orchard Drive.
PILFERED PHONE: An iPhone was stolen July 9 from a Rich East High School student after he left his backpack in the weight room at the school, 300 Sauk Trail.
ROBBERY: A 19-year-old Park Forest man told police he was beaten and robbed of $25 by two acquaintances and a third unknown man when he was walking with a friend July 10 on Lakewood Boulevard.
THEFT: An iPod was stolen July 11 from a 10-year-old girl’s backpack at the Park Forest Public Library, 400 Lakewood Blvd.
HOME BURGLARY: An iPod and four video game systems were stolen July 11 from a house in the 300 block of Winnebago Street.
CAR BURGLARY: A speaker was taken from the trunk of a car July 13 in the 2000 block of Western Avenue.
THEFT: A Park Forest woman told police someone stole her wallet from her car July 13 after she accidentally dropped her keys in a parking lot in the 3300 block of Western Avenue.
DRUG CHARGE: Michael Carniglia, 50, 350 Juniper St., Apt. 311, Park Forest, was charged with illegal possession of prescription drugs after being questioned by police outside his apartment building July 14, police said.
THEFT: Two 14-year-old Lansing boys told police someone stole their clothes July 14 from the locker room at Park Forest Aqua Center, 30 N. Orchard Drive.
