Chicago Heights police blotter

CHICAGO HEIGHTS

BURGLARY: Copper pipe, a lawn mower, a microwave, a washing machine, a stove and an air conditioning unit were taken between June 29 and July 6 from a vacant house in the 300 block of Concord Drive.

POT POSSESSION: Reginald Hagerman, 20, 1212 Center Ave., Chicago Heights, was charged with possession of marijuana after being questioned by police July 5 at 12th Street and Lincoln Avenue, police said.

COKE CHARGE: Lynn Hayden, 17 W. Hickory St., Apt. 1, Chicago Heights, was charged with possession of cocaine and being a drunken pedestrian after being questioned by police July 5 at 16th Street and Shields Avenue, police said.

DOMESTIC BATTERY: Tyzale Johnson, 22, 446 S. Normal Ave., Chicago, was charged with domestic battery after a July 5 incident in the 400 block of Wallace Avenue, police said.

BIKE THEFT: A bicycle was stolen July 5 in the 1900 block of Beacon Boulevard.

MARIJUANA CHARGE: Zachary Williams, 19, 70 W. Main St., Chicago Heights, was charged with possession of marijuana after being questioned by police July 6 on McEldowney Street, police said.

THEFT ARREST: Florence Brooks, 67, 216 Juniper St., Park Forest, was charged with theft after she stole prescription medication July 6 from her 97-year-old mother at her mother’s house in the 200 block of West 17th Street, police said.

DUI ARREST: James Martinez, 33, 8101 Latrobe Ave., Burbank, was charged with drunken driving and speeding after a July 7 stop at 14th Street and Brookwood, police said.

POT POSSESSION: Eyas Qurob, 23, 1639 Oak St., Chicago Heights, was charged with possession of marijuana July 7 in the 1400 block of Green Street, police said.

DOMESTIC BATTERY: Leroy Finley, 26, 1114 Claude Court, Chicago Heights, was charged with domestic battery after a July 7 altercation in the 1300 block of Wentworth Avenue, police said.

DOMESTIC ASSAULT: Julios Mays, 29, 25 Olympic Village, 2A, Chicago Heights, was charged with domestic assault after a July 8 incident at his home, police said.

CAR BURGLARY: A purse containing $2,000 cash was stolen July 8 from a car in the 400 block of West 14th Place.

DUI CHARGE: Perry Conwell, 23, 113 Strieff Ave., Chicago Heights, was charged with drunken driving, driving on a suspended license and failure to yield after being stopped July 9 in the first block of 14th Street, police said.

DUI CASE: Amber Davis, 28, 484 W. 16th St., Chicago Heights, was charged with drunken driving, running a stop sign and illegal transportation of alcohol after a July 10 stop at 14th Street and Vincennes Avenue, police said.
