NEW LENOX

DUI ARREST: Janet Remes, 50, 13133 Regan Road, Mokena, was charged with drunken driving and illegal transportation of alcohol after a stop June 29 at Oakview Drive and Cedar Road, police said.

DUI CHARGE: Stella Styrczula-Silwa, 47, of Joliet, was charged with drunken driving after police found her hanging out of her vehicle on the side of the road June 30 at U.S. 6 and Gougar Road, police said.

SUSPENDED LICENSE: Willie Nelson, 40, 145 Warwick, Park Forest, was charged with driving on a suspended license after a June 30 stop in the 1800 block of West U.S. 30, police said.

VEHICLE BURGLARY: An iPod was stolen from an unlocked vehicle July 1 in the 100 block of Twilight.

SUSPENDED LICENSE: Vicki McDaniel, 53, 19607 Heritage, Tinley Park, was charged with driving on a suspended license after being stopped July 1 in the 1000 block of East U.S. 30, police said.

DUI CASE: Matthew Putman, 37, of Rothschild, Wis., was charged with drunken driving after he was stopped July 2 in the 2300 block of East U.S. 30, police said.

SUSPENDED LICENSE: Kyle Boonstra, 29, 541 S. Cedar Road, New Lenox, was charged with driving on a suspended license July 2 after a stop at Central Road and Gear Drive, police said.

BATTERY: James Neylon, 28, 2715 Gifford Place, New Lenox, was charged with battery after he struck a police officer during a disturbance July 3 at his residence, police said.

VANDALISM: Hydraulic lines on a forklift were damaged at a construction site July 5 in the 500 block of East U.S. 30.

THEFT: A pool vacuum was stolen from a garage after the garage door had been left open July 5 in the 700 block of Columbia Drive.

POT POSSESSION: Royal McClinton, Jr., 23, 12318 S. Bishop Ave., Calumet Park, was charged with possession of marijuana and driving on a suspended license after a stop July 6 in the 100 block of Maple Lane, police said.

SUSPENDED LICENSE: Jasmine Newton, 21, 21608 Peterson Ave., Sauk Village, was charged with driving on a suspended license after a July 7 stop at Interstate 80 and U.S. 30, police said.

DUI ALLEGED: Justin Durnavich, 18, 243 Roberts Road, New Lenox, was charged with driving under the influence of drugs after being stopped July 8 at Michigan and Cedar roads, police said.

THEFT: A wallet was stolen from a purse July 8 in the 2300 block of U.S. 30.

VANDALISM: The passenger side mirror was damaged and the side of the vehicle was scraped July 8 in the 300 block of Church Street.

SUSPENDED LICENSE: Alanzo Hutcherson, 20, 759 Burr Oak, University Park, was charged with driving on a suspended license after a stop July 10 at U.S. 30 and Church Street, police said.

BURGLARY ATTEMPT: An elderly homeowner in the 20000 block of Oak Lane in Frankfort Township told police that three Hispanic men tried to burglarize his house June 25 by having one of them distract him while the other two entered the house. When the resident spotted the two men going inside and confronted them, they left and drove off in a pickup truck with the third man, police said.

SUSPENDED LICENSE: Alan Kwiatkowski, 65, of Plainfield, was charged with driving on a suspended license and talking on a cellphone in a construction zone after a stop June 27 at U.S. 30 and Owens Road, Frankfort Township, police said.

THEFT: A backpack was stolen June 27 from a youth while he was playing basketball at Lincoln-Way West High School, 21701 Gougar Road, New Lenox Township.

VEHICLE BURGLARY: A GPS system was stolen June 29 from an unlocked vehicle in the 200 block of Cooper Road in New Lenox Township.

HIT AND RUN: Amber L. Novak, 23, 8155 W. Old Mill Road, Frankfort, was charged with leaving the scene of an accident and failure to reduce speed to avoid an accident after a crash June 30 at 84th Avenue and Brickstone Drive, Frankfort Township, police said.

DUI ARREST: Mark Van Witzenberg, 32, of Monee, was charged with drunken diving and failure to reduce speed to avoid an accident after he ran into a guardrail and the outfield fence before flipping his car July 1 at the baseball diamond at Lincoln-Way North High School, 19900 Harlem Ave., Frankfort Township, police said.

BURGLARY: A cash register containing money was stolen July 4 from Liquid therapy, 7821 West U.S. 30, Frankfort Township.

BURGLARY: Copper wire, a tool chest and various tools — including wrenches, a paint sprayer, a chain saw, construction nailers, a nail finisher and a hammer drill — were stolen July 5 during a burglary at Professional Insulation Co., 1302 S. Schoolhouse Road, New Lenox Township.

SUSPENDED LICENSE: Ashlee E. Griest, 25, of Manhattan, was charged with driving on a suspended license and texting while driving after being stopped July 5 at U.S. 30 and LaGrange Road, Frankfort Township, police said.

MARIJUANA CHARGE: Brian Niemann, 43, of Rewey, Wis., was charged with possession of marijuana and no insurance after a stop July 7 at U.S. 30 and Frankfort Square Road, Frankfort Township, police said.

DUI ARREST: John J. Lanigan, 62, 1730 Giddington Court, New Lenox Township, was charged with drunken driving and failure to reduce speed to avoid an accident after a July 7 crash at Chatfield and Schoolhouse Roads, New Lenox Township, police said.
