Midlothian, Oak Forest police blotter

MIDLOTHIAN

THEFTS: Catalytic converters were stolen Aug. 20 from three vehicles. The thefts occurred in the 14700 block of Turner, the 14400 block of Trumbull Avenue and the 14800 block of St. Louis Avenue.

RETAIL THEFT: Three cellphones were stolen Aug. 24 from T-Mobile, 14659 Cicero Ave.

VANDALISM: A car’s windshield and driver’s side window were smashed Aug. 25 in the 14300 block of Abbottsford Road.

DOMESTIC BATTERY: Brian Moore, 24, 3835 W. 148th St., Midlothian, was charged with domestic battery after an Aug. 25 altercation at his residence, police said.

OAK FOREST

PURSE PILFERED: A purse was stolen Aug. 12 from a car in the 5200 block of 147th Street.

THEFTS: Catalytic convertors were stolen Aug. 13 from two cars in the Metra station lot, 157th Street and Cicero Avenue.

HOME BURGLARY: A video game system, laptop computer, iPad, iPod and more than 300 compact discs were stolen Aug. 13 from a house in the 15900 block of Central Avenue.

TRUCK BURGLARY: Power tools valued at $4,000 were stolen Aug. 14 from a pickup truck in the 15600 block of Laramie Avenue.

SUSPENDED LICENSE: Juana Sanchez-Cruz, 35, 15859 LeClaire Ave., Oak Forest, was charged with driving on a suspended license and no insurance Aug. 16 after a stop at 159th Street and Peggy Lane, police said.

THEFT: Approximately $7,200 cash was stolen Aug. 16 from Dunkin Donuts, 5159 W. 159th St.

HOME BURGLARY: A diamond ring, watch, laptop computer and notebook computer were stolen Aug. 16 from a house in the 5400 block of Janet Court.

HOME BURGLARY: A home in the 5200 block of 157th Street was ransacked Aug. 16 and a video game system was stolen.

DUI ARREST: Venitia Hampton, 54, of Homewood, was charged with drunken driving and no insurance after being stopped Aug. 17 in the 5800 block of 147th Street, police said.

DUI ALLEGED: Felix J. Jones, 39, 16335 Parliament Ave., Tinley Park, was charged with drunken driving, no insurance and improper lane use after an Aug. 17 stop in the 6100 block of 159th Street, police said.

THEFT: A Tinley Park man told police someone stole his shorts and his iPhone Aug. 18 from a dressing room at Gaelic Park, 6119 W. 147th St.

HOME BURGLARY: An Oak Forest family who had recently moved into their home in the 4800 block of 149th Street told police someone cut their window screen and stole their television on Aug. 18.
