COUNTRY CLUB HILLS
HIT AND RUN: Joshua Bennett, 19, 3900 W. 169th St., Country Club Hills, was charged with hit and run and speeding after an Aug. 26 crash at 167th Street and Pulaski Road, police said.
THEFT: An iPhone was stolen Aug.27 while its owner was playing basketball in the 3800 block of 175th Street.
TRESPASSING: Matthew Valle, 30, of Waukegan; Jose Chavez, 23, 1724 W. 21st St., Chicago, and Derek Sosa, 19, 2350 S. Albany Ave., Chicago, were charged with trespassing after loading several crates and plastic storage items belonging to Wal-Mart into a truck Aug. 29 at 4005 W. 168th Place, police said.
CAR BURGLARY: A wallet was stolen from a car Aug. 30 in the 5100 block of 190th Street.
RETAIL THEFT: Jerome Lanier, 30, whose address was not listed, was charged with retail theft after stealing two iPhones Aug. 30 from a display at T-Mobile, 4021 W. 167th St., police said.
PURLOINED PURSE: A purse was stolen Aug. 30 from a car in the parking lot of Wal-Mart, 4005 W. 168th Place.
BREAK-IN: A Chicago man told police someone broke into a house he had recently purchased in the 5000 block of 186th Street on Aug. 30 or 31 and stole copper piping.
CRIMINAL DAMAGE: Someone fired a shot from a pellet gun Sept. 1 through a window of a home in the 4400 block of 177th Street.
THEFT: Someone stole an exterior air conditioning unit Aug. 14 or 15 from a building in the 3300 block of 183rd Street.
WEAPON CHARGE: Corey Browner, 19, of the 900 block of Bowling Green Road in Homewood, was charged with unlawful possession of a weapon and possession of marijuana Aug. 16 after an incident at Patriots Park, 1300 187th St., police said.
RETAIL THEFT: Gail Clark, 56, of Chicago Heights, was charged with retail theft after stealing goods Aug. 17 from Kohl’s, 17620 Halsted St., police said.
DOMESTIC BATTERY: Julian Price, 30, of the 18500 block of Morris Avenue in Homewood, was charged with domestic battery after an Aug. 18 incident at his residence, police said.
THEFT: Someone stole a catalytic converter Aug. 20 from a car parked in the 800 block of Elder Road.
ARMED ROBBERY: Will Hull, 22, of South Holland, and Roosevelt Winding, 18, of Hazel Crest, were both charged with armed robbery in connection with an Aug. 20 robbery in the 18000 block of Los Angeles Avenue, police said.
SUSPENDED LICENSE: Paul Jennings, 32, of Harvey, was charged with driving on a suspended license and obstructing police after being stopped Aug. 22 in the 18000 block of Halsted Street, police said.
DRUG CHARGE: Todd Jones, 28, of Phoenix, was charged with possession of a controlled substance, and Demaurio Talley, 33, of Phoenix, was charged with retail theft Aug. 23 after an incident at Super Kmart, 17550 Halsted St., police said.
VANDALISM: Someone threw a brick through a picture window Aug. 24 at a house in the 2600 block of Alexander Street.
VEHICLE BURGLARY: A wallet and a checkbook were stolen Aug. 24 from a car in the 18500 block of Homewood Avenue.
RETAIL THEFT: Fenyx Shields, 20, of Harvey, was charged with retail theft after stealing goods Aug. 24 from Kmart Supercenter, 17550 Halsted St., police said.
DOMESTIC BATTERY: Kelli Matthews, 34, of the 3000 block of Hickory Road in Homewood, was charged with domestic battery after a disturbance Aug. 24 at her home, police said.
VEHICLE BURGLARY: A laptop computer was taken Aug. 24 from a vehicle in the 2400 block of Patricia Lane.
DOMESTIC BATTERY: Henry Magnabosco, 46, of the 1100 block of Elder Road in Homewood, was charged with domestic battery and violating an order of protection after an Aug. 25 altercation at his home, police said.
DUI ARREST: Jerry Clay, 59, of Chicago, was charged with drunken driving, illegal transportation of alcohol, failure to reduce speed to avoid accident and no insurance Aug. 25 after an accident at 183rd Street and Governors Highway, police said.
RETAIL THEFT: Linda Henson, 59, of Riverdale, was charged with retail theft after stealing items Aug. 25 from Kmart Supercenter, 17550 Halsted St., police said.
WEAPON CHARGE: Julian Douglas, 25, of Chicago, was charged with unlawful use of a weapon and driving on a suspended license after he was stopped Aug. 25 at 175th and Halsted streets, police said.
DISORDERLY CONDUCT: Lawrence Watkins, 49, of the 1900 block of 183rd Street in Homewood, was charged with disorderly conduct after an Aug. 27 disturbance at his residence, police said.
TRESPASSING: William Murray III, 36, of the 1300 block of Ridge Road in Homewood, was charged with criminal trespass and disorderly conduct after an Aug. 28 incident at his home, police said.
