COUNTRY CLUB HILLS

CAR THEFT: A 2004 Chrysler Sebring was stolen Sept. 1 or 2 from a driveway in the 3700 block of 168th Place.

TRUCK DAMAGED: Laina Freeman-Chaney, 42, 8832 Fairfield Ave., Evergreen Park, was charged with criminal damage to property after scratching the hood, fender and doors of a truck Sept. 2 in the 18600 block of Keeler Avenue, police said.

THEFT: Lawn furniture and lounge chairs were stolen Sept. 2 or 3 from a back yard in the 4600 block of 188th Street.

THEFT: A motorized bicycle was stolen Sept. 7 from outside a house in the 17500 block of Baker Avenue.

PEEPING TOM: Brian Johnson, 22, 19336 Oakwood Ave., Country Club Hills, was charged with disorderly conduct after peering into the windows of homes Sept. 7 in the 4100 block of 192nd Court and the 19300 block of Oak Avenue, police said.

HOMEWOOD

PURLOINED PURSE: A purse was stolen Aug. 27 from a car parked at Chevrolet of Homewood, 18033 Halsted St.

DUI ARREST: Henry Magnabosco, 46, of the 1100 block of Elder Road, Homewood, was charged with drunken driving, leaving the scene of an accident, failure to reduce speed to avoid an accident, improper lane use, driving on a suspended license and no insurance after a stop Aug. 30 at Center Avenue and Ridge Road, police said.

VANDALISM: Someone broke a storm window Aug. 31 or Sept. 1 in the 1800 block of Evergreen Road.

RETAIL THEFT: Denisha Cearo, 20, of Chicago, was charged with retail theft Sept. 1 after stealing items from Kohl’s, 17620 Halsted St., police said.

DRUG CHARGES: Matthew Lewis, 20, of Hazel Crest, was charged with driving under the influence of drugs, possession of drug paraphernalia, illegal screeching of tires and improper lane use Sept. 3 after a stop at 175th and Halsted streets, police said.

RETAIL THEFT: Darnell Riles, 54, of Lansing, was charged with retail theft after stealing goods Sept. 4 at Kmart Supercenter, 17550 Halsted St., police said.

DUI CASE: William Swetz, 23, of the 2800 block of Perry Road in Flossmoor, was charged with drunken driving, possession of marijuana and drug paraphernalia and speeding after a Sept. 5 stop in the 18300 block of Dixie Highway, police said.

ASSAULT: Andrew Walker, 37, of Calumet City, was charged with assault following an incident Sept. 5 at Home Depot, 17845 Halsted St., police said.

RETAIL THEFT: Joe Lee, 44, of Calumet City, was charged with retail theft after he stole merchandise Sept. 5 from Super Kmart, 17550 Halsted St., police said.
