CHICAGO HEIGHTS

TIRES SLASHED: All four tires on a car were slashed Feb. 17 or 18 in the first block of West 15th Street.

BURGLARY: A stove and two refrigerators were stolen Feb. 18 from a house in the 100 block of West 16th Street.

BURGLARY: An alarm keypad was stolen Feb. 19 during a burglary of a vacant house in the 1500 block of Hanover Street.

BATTERY: Ashley Turner, 23, 130 W. Hickory St., Chicago Heights, was charged with battery after throwing a fan at a police officer and injuring his hand while the officer was trying to halt an argument between Turner and a man Feb. 20 in the 1600 block of Buena Vista Avenue, police said.

DUI ARREST: Matthew Wiggins, 34, 17615 Balmoral Lane, Hazel Crest, was charged with drunken driving and improper stopping on a roadway after crashing into a snowbank Feb. 21 at 14th Street and Campbell Avenue, police said.

CAR THEFT: A Pontiac Grand Prix was stolen Feb. 22 while it was left running outside a house in the 1900 block of Aberdeen Street. The car was found damaged and abandoned later that day in the 500 block of West 14th Street.

CAR THEFT: An Enterprise rental car was stolen Feb. 22 when left running in the 300 block of Joe Orr Road.

POT POSSESSION: Christopher Ukachukwa, 27, 705 Red Oak Lane, University Park, was charged with possession of marijuana after a Feb. 22 stop at 13th Street and Center Avenue, police said.

CAR BURGLARY: A briefcase containing two Bibles was stolen Feb. 23 from a car in the 100 block of West 19th Street.

VANDALISM: Ten 10 windows and two doors were damaged Feb. 25 at a rental property in the 1500 block of Euclid Avenue.

DUI CHARGE: Willie Savage, 47, 320 E. Center, Glenwood, was charged with drunken driving, improper lane use and no insurance after a stop Feb. 26 at Joe Orr Road and Halsted Street, police said.

PROPERTY DAMAGE: A front loader was stolen Feb. 26 from inside a fenced property and crashed through the fence in the 2000 block of East End Avenue.

DUI CASE: Renee Mejan. 37, 2620 Heather Road, Homewood, was charged with drunken driving and driving without a valid license after being stopped Feb. 26 in the 400 block of Dixie Highway, police said.

DUI ARREST: Sigmund Pinkard, 34, of Waukegan, was charged with drunken driving, running a stop sign, failure to wear a seat belt, improper lane use and no insurance after a March 1 stop at 26th Street and Euclid Avenue, police said.

DUI CHARGE: Mike Lang, 51, 1549 W. 183rd St., Homewood, was charged with drunken driving, illegal transportation of alcohol, no insurance and having expired registration after he was stopped March 1 at 16th Street and Center Avenue, police said.
