Political (elected or significant appointment) experience: Helped campaign in recent elections

In your view, what are the two most important issues facing your constituents? How would you address those issues?

Residents are looking to see how we can recover our tax rebate. Malls are full, shops have expanded, industry is here. Restoring faith in public service by bringing transparency to local government certainly relates to overseeing how money is managed.

Please explain something significant you would like to accomplish within the next two years if you are elected:

Updating our village, creating a “user-friendly” village with an informative Web site and providing a newsworthy monthly paper, for starters. Striving to work together, not against, is key.

Please explain how you believe the office you’re seeking can help in creating local jobs.

The current board certainly encourages residents to “buy Crestwood.” I would also like to add,“hire Crestwood.” Hiring qualified and skilled tradesmen from within the village on Crestwood development is vital.

Do you believe the current way Illinois pays for education is working? If so, why? If not, why not? What would you change? N/A

Would you make any changes to the budget of the governing unit to which you are seeking elected office? If so, what?

While I don’t feel there has been waste in the budget, I certainly feel the need to prioritize and revamp spending to include updates I have spoken about. Meeting with department heads and learning of what shortfalls they have is important. While ideas and ideals are costly, so have been the ongoing legal bills, nearing $3 million. This is tax-payer money.

Are there any other issues you want to bring to the public’s attention? If so, what?

Crestwood water is a very volatile subject. There are some that believe there is link between illnesses and water consumption. Others feel that is not the case, but without a doubt, realize the untruths of the village, hence a suit brought by Lisa Madigan’s office. Those that live with a diagnosis and their families, certainly carry a burden and questionability in a most righteous way. There is no winner in this case; we are left with the resolve of community to once again be a great place to live, work, and raise families. It is my wish to be that positive link to the future of Crestwood.
