What other elected offices have you sought? What Year?

Orland Hills Library District Trustee - 2007

Orland Hills Library District Trustee - 2011

Have you ever been arrested or charged with a crime? No.

Do you have any criminal convictions on your record? No.

Political (elected or significant appointment) experience: Orland Hills Library District Trustee - 2007 through 2011

In your view, what are the two most important issues facing your constituents? How would you address those issues?

1. Increases in Federal, State and County taxes and fees - Continue to attract new businesses to our community to continue to keep our property taxes low while continuing to provide the services that the residents of Orland Hills expect.

2. Increases in public utility costs - Review current contracts and discuss options on how utility savings can be achieved and passed onto all residents of Orland Hills.

Please explain something significant you would like to accomplish within the next two years if you are elected to the office to which you aspire. I am looking to achieve 100% commercial occupancy of all our store fronts to not only serve our residents, but to bring revenue to our community.

Please explain how you believe the office you’re seeking can help in creating local jobs. By attracting new businesses to open in our community, the residents of our village will have new opportunities for employment.

Do you believe the current way Illinois pays for education is working? If so, why? If not, why not? What would you change? While the office that I am running for does not have a direct bearing on this issue, I think every budget needs to be examined to be sure that all funds are distributed in a manner that is appropriate.

Would you make any changes to the budget of the governing unit to which you are seeking elected office? If so, what? As our community has had a balanced budget for several years, with one of the lowest property tax rates in our area, a large change to our budget is not needed. However, I will always be looking to see where we can trim and save money at any opportunity.

Are there any other issues you want to bring to the public’s attention? If so, what? Not at this time.
