In your view, what are the two most important issues facing your constituents? How would you address those issues?
The rising unemployment rate of Country Club Hills residents continues to lead to the rise of homes facing foreclosure. It is imperative that I remain a voice for our community on the local level, by involving all government bodies, state and federal of the need to create employment for all citizens.
Please explain something significant you would like to accomplish within the next two years if you are elected to the office to which you aspire.
As Alderman of the 1st ward it is my goal to continue to strive for economic growth and development for the City of Country Club Hills and its residents. It has been my endeavor for the past three terms that I served as the alderman to provide a safe, clean and thriving environment for all citizens that are fortunate to reside in the first ward of County Club Hills.
Do you believe the current way Illinois pays for education is working? If so, why? If not, why not? What would you change?
No. The way that Illinois currently funds education is on the back of the taxes of homeowners. Education should be funded by every facet governed by the state of Illinois, which would assist in alleviating the heavy burden on homeowners.
Would you make any changes of the budget of the governing unit to which you are seeking elected office? If so, what?
Yes, I would like to see an increase for our homeowner’s tax rebate, and more funding for our youth programs.
Are there any other issues you want to bring to the public’s attention? If so, what?
I would like to see an increase in elected officials and business owners combining their efforts to increase employment opportunity for the residents of Country Club Hills.
