I have never been arrested or charged with a crime. I have in fact, been involved in Tinley Park since moving here in 1976. I was very involved in the Tinley Park Jaycees with my husband, Gregory. I held all offices within the Jaycee Women, including president.

Library accomplishments and future goals: I have been on the Board since 2005 and have been Library Board President since 2009. My goal is to continue to work with library board trustees and staff to ensure our library remains a vital part of our community. We have a fiscally sound budget and adequate reserves for the future. As president, I have spearheaded revisions to our policy and procedures manual and bylaws and implemented HR practices and realigned health benefits. Programs for all ages and all interests are top priority. We have had an increase in circulation and extended library hours on Sundays and during the summer months. We have purchased additional computer work stations and installed a second self-checkout station and will continue to implement up-to-date technology when needed throughout our library. We have a sound working relationship with our village government, and have increased communications with our elementary, middle and high schools. Orland Hills shares our library and our current boundaries include Cook and Will Counties. With a changing economy, the Tinley Park Public Library has afforded all members of our community and beyond the opportunity to increase their knowledge, enjoy, and learn from the resources and the wide array of programs we offer.
